1. Comprised of Alisha, Angeli, Ji Hae, Natsuko and Victoria, Blush is “5 girls from 5 Asian countries,” and they are already enjoying unprecedented success within a short time thanks to their world-class talents and charm. The music of Blush is edgy and fun combining pop, R&B and dance into a unique spin, delivered by five gifted girls on a mission. Blush are the only singers to date, from Asia, to have their first two singles hit #3 (Undivided feat. Snoop Dogg) and #1 (Dance On) on a major US chart.
Within a short period of time, Blush has built a series of strong collaborations starting with opening for Justin Bieber as their first major performance in May, 2011 and followed that sharing the bill and associating with acts such as The Black Eyed Peas, B.o.B., Far East Movement, Jessie J, Diana Ross and Quincy Jones. Their US national TV debut was on the hit show “So You Think You Can Dance” where they were the featured artist along with Snoop Dogg. They’ve also been a featured artist on the soundtrack of the hit Disney Channel TV show “Shake It Up” with their original recording “Up, Up and Away” as well as having their music in the top EA game franchise “The Sims 3 Pets.”
There’s a feeling in pop music when something big is about to happen. The time is now. And that sensation is Blush.

A year later, the trio along with bassist Brian Risko released a five-song self-titled EP on Surfdog. Both the MTV reality show Tough Enough and the ABC sitcom Eight Simple Rules used Blush's songs (one track each show), which led the band to appear on select Warped Tour dates in 2002 and headline shows on the Tony Hawk's Birdhouse Skateboard Tour.
Jayson Benn became Blush's official bassist in 2003, also Gavin Cushman (the youngest of the Cushman brothers) joined Blush during the writing of their debut album. The recording for this album was completed in late 2005 and released in March 2006 on Rust Records under the name From the Falls to the Path.

9. Blush is the indie-pop project of Darlings keyboardist and singer Maura Lynch. Her first album with bandmates Andy Chugg (Pop. 1280) and Nick and Jon Campolo (Pill) is out this December 2017, and today they’re sharing its winsome lead single. “Daisy Chain” is a retro pop-rock tune with a simplicity that lends more weight to every aesthetic detail, from its measured pace to its faint, positive glow. “Good morning, baby!” Lynch softly exclaims, moving on to a warmly assuring chorus: “All your dreams are real to me/ All your dreams are what I need/ Tell them all to me.”
10. Indie pop/shorgaze band from Brooklyn, New York.

11. A hard rock band from Canada.
From the opening riffs of Blush's debut CD, Crowded Alone, it becomes immediately obvious that this is not a band has any interest in simply following the crowd... instead, Blush prefers to create its own trend. Rife with ripping guitar riffs, thought provoking lyrics and soaring, atmospheric melodies, it's easy to see why Blush's music has become a sensation on Winnipeg's Power 97 FM. Listeners were so turned on by the Blush sound that its debut single, "Word From the Wise," was added to regular rotation after being chosen as the kick-off track on the station's much-anticipated Class of 2003 compilation. Blush is one of only five Winnipeg acts making the cut.
But there is a twist to the story. Although they have been together since 2001, the fact that the band hadn't yet played a live show before being selected for the compilation may come as a surprise, judging from the tight performances and electric songwriting chemistry of their album. But don't make the mistake of assuming that the Blush boys haven't earned their stage credentials. In fact, the band features some of Winnipeg's most veteran performers.
At the band's core is the sizzling musical chemistry of vocalist Glen Davies and drummer Chris Weighell. The pair first met in 1990, and since have recorded and performed together all across Canada in several different bands. Most achieved only modest commercial success.
Feeling unfulfilled, Glen quit performing entirely in 1999. During his time away, his focus returned to composition and he began writing and recording songs in his basement studio. It wasn't over.
The pair's passion and commitment would not be denied. In 2001, they decided to form a new project. The duo created BLUSH. After several auditions, a perfect match for the band's drive and direction was found in guitarist Paulo Neta. Drawing from a diverse group of influences, Paulo's style clicked instantly with Glen's and the chemistry produced a cohesive song-writing team. His skillful guitar riffs and songwriting insight made him an integral driving force behind the band's material, while bassist Adam Winters, also with a flare for composition, completed a rock-solid rhythm section. And thus Blush was born, setting the stage for greater things to come.
After heading into the studio with Juno-award winning producer Brandon Friesen, the boys of Blush found themselves on the receiving end of some strong local buzz, which was solidified by the Power 97 endorsement. Friesen's renowned production skills fit in perfectly with the band's rich rock'n'roll soundscapes, bringing out the depth and emotion of the songs.
With the commercial release of the first single, "Word From The Wise", BLUSH has been featured on rock radio stations across Canada and garnered rave reviews such as the one in Canadian Music Network ("Hit Picks" Oct. 9 - 15, 2003 ranked #11) that describes it as "...amazingly powerful and gritty yet melodic rock number that demands attention" and "...smart, simple and catchy as hell." It ends with the recommendation "Rock programmers would be WISE to get on this fabulous Cancon track as soon as possible"
The debut album, "Crowded Alone" (release date Nov. 4 / 03) is distributed nationally by PHD Distributors (Vancouver) and is available everywhere. Touring in support of the release is to begin by late November, and continue in sections, throughout 2004. The boys of Blush aren't going to remain a secret for very long. Soon, everyone will get the chance to see what Winnipeg has been buzzing about.
12. An indie/shoegaze band from Singapore. Drawing influence from traditional slowcore and 90’s alternative rock, Blush presents its own brand of grungy sonic bliss.

Warrior
Blush Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Warrior, warrior, warrior
I'm not the kind of girl to do what I'm supposed to
Yeah, I'm a rebel, yeah I'm a real soldier
No, this ain't over
That's what I told ya
I just want this and more
Watch me come my way through the barbed wire
I'm not a quitter, I walk right-right through the fire
No, this ain't over
That's what I told ya
Crushing on enemies
Fighting for you and me
Can you hear the battle cry in the distance?
A thousand armies of me marching 'round the world
To the beat of the drum
I'ma keep pushing on
Till I get what I want
Cause I'm a warrior
I'm gonna fight for your love
I'm a warrior
I'm never gonna give up
Cause I'm a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I'm a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I'm gonna break these walls around you
Anything to put my arms around you
Cause I'm a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I'm a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
They try to keep us apart
For the last time
I'ma put on my armor
Come out on the front line
They'll see me coming (coming)
Yeah, they'll be running (running)
I just want you to know that's how far I go
Can you hear the battle cry in the distance?

To the beat of the drum

Till I get what I want
Cause I'm a warrior
I'm gonna fight for your love
I'm a warrior
I'm never gonna give up
Cause I'm a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

Don't worry about it. There is a newer Asian Pop Music group that almost uses the same concept as Blush. It is named "Z-Stars" which consists of 14 Youngsters from 7️⃣ different Asian countries. The differences between Blush & Z-Stars are:
1a. Blush is a single-sex group which only consisted of 5️⃣👩. (Blush also never had a ♂️ Counterpart Group at All during its Active Years.)
1b. Z-Stars is a full Co-Ed group which has 2️⃣ Single-Sex Sub-groups. Z-Girls is the Sub-Group for the 7️⃣👧, whereas Z-Boys is the Sub-Group for the 7️⃣👦.
2a. The 5️⃣ Asian countries within Blush are: 🇨🇳🇰🇷🇯🇵🇵🇭🇮🇳. (Although 2️⃣ of the Blush members are actually 🇭🇰 citizens.)
2b. The 7️⃣ Asian countries within Z-Stars are: 🇹🇼🇯🇵🇵🇭🇮🇩🇻🇳🇮🇳🇹🇭.
Although Z-Stars does not have a single 🇰🇷 member at all in each of its single-sex Sub-groups, their 🎵🎶 style was actually inspired by K-Pop 🎵🎶 & everything about its management agency are actually originated from 🇰🇷 as well. Hope that you can try to listen to Z-Stars' songs & learn more about the group itself 1️⃣ day. 😉
On the other hand, it turns out that Blush had actually disbanded itself without public notice at all. (This explains why it disappeared from the Pop 🎵🎶 industry scene.) However, all of these 5️⃣👩 are currently doing well as seperate indivduals in different professions from each other instead. Hope that you can be 😊🙂 with their current life choices from now on.
