Lucifer
Blutengel(Electro gothic) Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
She never had a friend
She was the one that got teased
She was not one of them
She always stands alone
Nobody gave her a chance
She was always pushed around
She's in love with the devil
She's in love with Lucifer
This is her revenge for all the years of hate and tears
Fire is falling from the sky
She's burning down her past
She starts a new life
To hell with Jesus Christ
Her parents died by accident
She never fell in love with someone
Nobody understood her fear
And every night she cried for help
She prayed to God 'cause she was told to
But he never spoke to her
She felt so cold and left alone
But then the fallen angel came
And then the fallen angel came
To heal the pain inside her heart
Her broken heart
She closed her eyes and saw his goodness
And the truth
She's not alone
He's always there
She's in love with the devil
She's in love with Lucifer
This is her revenge for all the years of hate and tears
Fire is falling from the sky
She's burning down her past
She starts a new life
To hell with Jesus Christ
The song "Lucifer" by Blutengel is a melancholic and dark composition which talks about a young woman who has had a rough life. The song's lyrics emphasize that she never fit in with others and was constantly bullied and ridiculed. The woman tries to find solace in religion, but she is left feeling empty and alone after not feeling any connection to God. The music video depicts her as an outcast, and it seems as though she is ready to give up hope.
However, the turning point comes when she discovers the fallen angel, Lucifer, who she falls in love with. This is where the title of the song comes in as 'Lucifer' is another name for Satan. The fallen angel heals her broken heart and offers her something no one else could. The lyrics suggest that she seeks revenge and stands up for herself after years of abuse by burning down her past and starting anew. She no longer cares about the expectations of society, depicted in the last line of the chorus, "to hell with Jesus Christ."
Overall, the lyrics of the song act as a dark and powerful testament to the idea of "finding oneself" by breaking free from societal norms and expectations. It is a song about self-empowerment and embracing individuality.

True, lucifer/satan/devil is just a symbol for freedom and a new chance for a better life in this song. No matter which religion is yours and in what you believe, the lyrics are great cuz they tell you should not give up and you should not let them pull you dowm just because you're different.

Satan and Lucifer are not the same. Iblish is Shaytan(Satan). Lucifer is a fallen angel which they call him 'devil'.

A truly beautiful song regardless of ones religious beliefs. At its core its the story of a girl who finds an incredible strength, the strength to defy convention and walk her own path and in doing so finds the love that had been longing for her whole life. You could switch the roles of Jesus and Lucifer in the lyrics for any other two symbols of similar nature and stature (though the lyrics might not flow quite as well that way) and it would remain just as relevant. Masterful job Blutengle!!
