1) the stage-name for the solo work of Kevin Mitchell, an Australian pop musician from Fremantle, Australia, most famous for his role as vocalist/guitarist for the band Jebediah
2) a self-taught British guitarist from Folkestone, Kent, who currently lives in Sussex
3) an American punk band from Maplewood, New Jersey, who were active in the 1990s
1) Bob Evans is the stage-name for the solo work of Kevin Mitchell (born 1 October 1976), an Australian pop musician from Fremantle, Australia, most famous for his role as vocalist/guitarist for the band Jebediah. Mitchell has released three albums under the name Bob Evans, the first being Suburban Kid, which was released in 2003 on Redline Records and was not widely available. Whilst all the tracks were written by Mitchell, one song, "The Hermit", was co-written by Luke Steele from The Sleepy Jackson. Katy Steele, from Little Birdy also performed backup vocals on the album.
The follow up, Suburban Songbook, was released in 2006. It began as a collection of demos that Kevin Mitchell recorded with no intention of widely releasing them. However, Capitol Records discovered them and put into motion the idea of recording an album. Suburban Songbook won the "Best Adult Contemporary Album" and Kevin Mitchell (Bob Evans) was nominated for "Best Male Artist" in the 2006 ARIA Awards. The album was also nominated for the 2006 Australian Music Prize and the 2006 J Award.
Mitchell supported Evermore on their "Welcome to the Real Life" tour of Australia and New Zealand under the Bob Evans pseudonym, and also performed on the 2007 Big Day Out tour.
At the 2007 Western Australian Music Industry (WAMi) Awards he was nominated for two awards, 'Most Popular Album' and 'Best Commercial Pop Act'.
“I think Bob Evans is more me than Kevin Mitchell from Jebediah is! In that way it’s like a reverse alter-ego. It just allows me to push things a bit. Bob’s been enough under the radar to give me, creatively, a lot more freedom than I might otherwise have.” Kevin Mitchell.
When later asked what 'reverse alter-ego' means to Kevin, he said “I've no idea, that's one of those quotes that I've been haunted by.”
2009 saw the release of Goodnight, Bull Creek!, named after his hometown in Western Australia. It was recorded in Nashville and features a bigger kind sound with more instrumentation and a driving rock feel.
2) Bob Evans is a self-taught British guitarist from Folkestone, Kent in England, who currently lives in Sussex. He plays various styles, which includes slide guitar, blues, rock and country.
3. Bob Evans was an American punk band from Maplewood, New Jersey, that spent most of its active career working out of a rented bungalow on the north shore of Boston in a town called North Reading, MA. The band began as a four piece with Dave Gloshinski (guitar and vocals), Chris Zusi (guitar and vocals), Andrew Kesin (bass) , and Brian O'Neill (drums). In 1990, Zusi left and the band continued as a three piece for the rest of its recording career. In '95 when O'Neill wasn't able to tour the summer, John Gerlach stepped in to join Gloshinski and Kesin for what became the last tour for the band.
4. Bob Evans is an award winning, Canadian finger-style guitarist. He combines an eclectic mix of contemporary finger-style guitar and traditional roots music with a warm vocal style, tilted sense of humour and down to earth stage presence to provide a refreshing performance experience for music lovers in general. Definitely not just for “guitar geeks”.
Best of all, he's from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, home of some great folk musciians.

Very touching. Relaxing. With a sense of quiet release. In the slowing down.
