Crown Him With Many Crowns
Bob Fitts Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Crown Him with many crowns
The Lamb upon His throne
Hark how the heavenly anthem drowns
All music but its own
Awake my soul and sing
Of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King
Through all eternity

Crown Him the Lord of life
Who triumphed o'er the grave
Who rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save
His glorious now we sing
Who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring
And lives that death may die

Crown Him the Lord of heaven
Enthroned in worlds above
Crown Him the King
To whom is given
The wondrous name of love
Crown Him with many crowns
As thrones before Him fall
Crown Him ye kings with many crowns
For He is King of all

Crown Him Ye kings
With many crowns
Crown Him Ye kings
With many crowns
Crown Him Ye kings
With many crowns

For He is King of all
For He is King of all
For He is King of all
King of all!

I personally l think this is the best song on the Lord Reigns album. Very beautiful and powerful.

@marka1422

It's an old hymn from a long time ago. I love the hymns which so many churches no longer sing. They're missing LOTS of Christian doctrine and theology that's missing in most of the modern songs that churches sing these days.

@dvferyance

@@marka1422 I do recall singing it in church in the 90's growing up. Now we sing repetitive songs like Open the Eyes of My Heart and I could Sing of Your Love Forever.
