THE LORD REIGNS
The Lord reigns
The Lord reigns
The Lord reigns
Let the earth rejoice
Let the earth rejoice
Let the earth rejoice
Let the people be glad
That our God reigns
And burns up all His enemies
The hills melt like wax
At the presence of the Lord
At the presence of the Lord
The Lord reigns
The Lord reigns
The Lord reigns
Let the earth rejoice
Let the earth rejoice
Let the earth rejoice
Let the people be glad
That our God reigns
The people see His glory
For You, O Lord are exalted
Over all the earth
Over all the earth
The Lord reigns
The Lord reigns
The Lord reigns
Let the earth rejoice
Let the earth rejoice
Let the earth rejoice

Let the people be glad
That our God reigns

I love to hear these "old" Praise & Worship songs that actually focus on exalting and adoring our amazing and powerful Lord. Nowadays we seem to sing a lot about how we feel, and our trouble, and there is a place for that, but the Bible says: We enter into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. In his presence is fulness of joy. Seeking him, worshiping him, and obeying him are the greatest things we can do in this life. Praise the Lord

I've lead worship in song many times and this particular song has been a firm and favored one for all the reasons you mentioned. Its real praise, not self focused or minor chord emotion. Praise God!!! Amen.....

Yes! Amen. Couldn't be more accurate.

Psalm 93 says THE LORD REIGNS. He's THE KING, let's treat Him as King, these are original worship the King songs, so sad to see what "worship" has warfed into now and gotten away from worshipping our KING, He is many other things at different stages in our lives, but once we complete them He is King. The King. Our earthly king was once a baby, grew to a todler, a youngster, a young man, a grown man and and then King. He's no longer all those stages, He's King!! Reigning, ruling in heavenly places and we are seated with Him, supposed to be have reached the stage of ruling and reigning with Him, but we are still begging and crying and groaning as a child, we are to grow up into His fullness, going through the stages of from babe in Christ to full grown in Christ, He's KING! Treat Him as King

The late 80s and early 90s were the golden period of great worship songs.

I really felt the power. No matter who is in the government, above all it is God who reigns the earth and all in it. Thank you Lord, Jesus.
