During 1970 and 1971, Wailer, Marley and Tosh worked with renowned reggae producers Leslie Kong and Lee "Scratch" Perry.
They released four albums before signing to Island Records in 1972. Two more albums were created before Tosh and Wailer left the band in 1974, citing grievances over label treatment and ideological differences. Marley carried on with a new line-up, including the I-Threes that put out seven more more albums. Marley died in 1981.
The Wailers were a groundbreaking ska and reggae group, noted for songs such as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "War", "Stir It Up" and "Get Up, Stand Up".

Give thanks and praises so high
He will not deceive us my brethren
He will only lead us again
Oh take that veil from off of your eyes
Look into the future of realize
Noah had three suns, ham, shem and japhet
Glory to jah the prophet is come
Through all these ages
Glory to jah the prophet has come
Through all these stages
When my soul was hurtin' deep within
And I'm worrying to be free, desperately, yeah
So guide and protect I and I oh jah, jah
Through all these ages
Guide and protect I and I oh jah, jah
Through all these stages
Rastafari is his name, jah rastafari is his name, jah
If jah didn't love I, if I didn't love I
If jah didn't love I, if I didn't love I
Would I be around today
Would I be around to say
Give thanks and praises, give thanks and praises

In "Give Thanks & Praises," Bob Marley & The Wailers encourage listeners to honor and worship Jah, or God, by giving thanks and praises. The lyrics suggest that by putting faith in Jah and acknowledging His power, guidance, and love, individuals can find freedom and overcome their personal struggles. Marley urges his audience to remove the veil from their eyes, to look beyond the present, and to realize the value of Jah's teachings. Marley takes a brief detour in the song to reference Noah and his sons, stating that Ham was known as a prophet and that Jah's glory has been present throughout history.
Overall, the song is a testament to the Rastafarian beliefs and the importance of faith, love, and gratitude in one's life. By acknowledging Jah's power and praise, Marley suggests that listeners can find peace amidst their turbulent lives.

I love this song a lot and it saddens me when some people do not understand the lyrics and disrespect Bob Marley's words.
Rastafari is a religious and political movement that derived their name from the Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie, during the 1930's. Bob Marley is not singing about that.
Haile Selassie was born Tafari Makonnen. He was crowned with the royal title of Le'ul Ras in 1917 and was then known as Ras Tafari Makonnen. The name, Haile Selassie was given to him when he was baptised and later used when he became emperor. This is who Bob Marley is singing about.
A lot of Rastas back then thought of Haile Selassie as a born again prophet.
"Glory to Jah, the prophet has come (Through all these ages)"
They believed he was going to save them from their political struggles and often referred to him as either Jah, Jah Jah or Jah Rastafari.
"So guide and protect I n I, oh Jah Jah (Through all these stages)"
Bob Marley referred to Haile Selassie by his royal title and birth name.
"Ras Tafari is his name."

Confrontations was produced in the 70's. Most casuals only know Marlet from Johnny Depp or just the legend album but all his younger days is too fire.
