Let The Good Times Roll
Bobby \ Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey everybody, let's have some fun
You only live but once and when you're dead you're done
So let the good times roll, let the good times roll
I don't care if you're young or old, let the good times roll.

Don't sit there mumbling, talking trash
If you want to have a ball you've got to spend some cash
And let the good times roll, let the good times roll
I don''t care if you're young or old, let the good times roll.

Hey why'all, tell everybody, the Manband's in town
We got some time to kill and we all raring to clown
But don't let no female play us cheap
We got fifty cents more than we're gonna keep
So let the good times roll, let the good times roll
I don't care if you're young or old, let the good times roll.

No matter whether rainy weather

You want to have a ball you've got to get yourself together
Get yourself under control and let the good times roll.

Overall Meaning

The song "Let the Good Times Roll" by Bobby Bland is an upbeat and lively track that encourages people of all ages to let loose and have fun. The opening lyrics convey a simple yet profound message about life, as it reminds us that we only live once and should not waste our time worrying about things that do not matter. By embracing the good times, we can make the most of our lives and create lasting memories.

The chorus of the song is a call to action, urging listeners to join in and celebrate life. Bobby Bland challenges them not to sit around quietly but to get out there and spend money, have fun and let the good times roll. The song emphasizes the importance of not taking oneself too seriously and embracing spontaneity and the joy of the moment.

The final verse brings in the element of a party, with the Manband in town ready to entertain. Bland warns listeners not to be fooled by any women who may try to take advantage of the party-goers, as the group has just enough money to spend and keep the fun going. Rain or shine, the call remains the same: get out, let go of your stresses and let the good times roll.

Greetings from the "Land"
Just an F.Y.I.
The lyrics to this song is NOT true! Sure have some fun
You may only live for once
But when you're dead...
Oh No you're not Done!
It is appointed unto man ONCE to die AND then the judgement.
You are going to spend eternity SOMEWHERE - heaven or hell for ever!!!! You choose.
Be encouraged.
