Once he started a solo career, Brown enjoyed commercial and critical success with his second album Don't Be Cruel (1988) which spawned five Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles, including the number one hit "My Prerogative", and the Grammy Award-winning "Every Little Step". In 1989, Brown contributed two songs to the soundtrack of Ghostbusters II. In 1992, Brown married superstar singer Whitney Houston, with whom he later had a daughter named Bobbi Kristina Brown. The couple's drug issues and domestic disputes made them tabloid fodder.
Brown's next album Bobby (1992) spawned several singles including "Humpin' Around", "Get Away", and "Good Enough", however, sales of Bobby did not reach the level of its predecessor.
Brown also appeared in the films A Thin Line Between Love and Hate and Two Can Play That Game. He returned to New Edition for a reunion album and tour from 1996 to 1997, and returned with all six members for another stint in 2005. Brown and Houston starred in the 2005 reality show Being Bobby Brown; Houston filed for divorce two years later in 2007.

Y'all
Ayo stanley
Do me a favor
Drop it
()Chorus)
I want you, I need you
(Verse 1)
I've been around the world
Seen lots of pretty girls
But no one has seem to catch my eye
Feelins and faces change
Nothing remains the same
As long as your not by my side
(Bridge)
Baby when I first met you
I realize that I needed you in my life
And after all that we've been through
I hope you understand the way I feel for you
Chorus(w/adlibs)
take me to the 2nd verse
(Verse 2)
Now that I have you here
To you my love I give
And no one could ever take your place
'cause you make me feel so strong
With you I can't go wrong (yeah yeah yeah)
Bridge
Chorus(w/adlibs)
now let me take it, back to the streets!
Drop it!
Rap:
Alright, grab a hold and don't let go
Get ready, for the solid and steady slow flow
A physical lust,'cause its a must that I bring ya
Love, squeeze me tight don't let me slip through your fingers
'cause a brother like the be-are-O-W-N
Is in it to win it for a girl who's a perfect ten
So come into my life, a pretty lady
Let me show that I need you
And I'm going too
Treat you the right way because I want you
Bridge
Chorus(w/adlibs) till fade
In Bobby Brown's song "I Want You, I Need You", the singer is expressing his strong desire for a particular woman in his life. He acknowledges that he has been around and seen many beautiful women but nobody has caught his eye like this one. He emphasizes that without her by his side, everything else loses its meaning. The bridge expresses a deeper level of commitment as he speaks about his need for her in his life and how he hopes she recognizes and understands the intensity behind his feelings.
In the second verse, he explains that now that he has found her, he cannot imagine anyone ever taking her place. He feels empowered and secure with her, and he confidently expresses that he could never go wrong with her in his life. The following rap verse is a declaration of his commitment to her and his readiness to give her all the love and attention she deserves. He promises to treat her right and show her that he needs her in his life.
Overall, the song is about intense feelings of love and the importance of a particular person in the singer's life. Bobby Brown's powerful vocals and energetic instrumental create an upbeat and empowering track about love and commitment.
