Darin was a very special and talented entertainer. He was a Grammy award winning singer ('Mack The Knife'), a respected member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ('Dream Lover', 'Splish Splash', 'If I Were A Carpenter') a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, a successful record producer, an Oscar nominated actor and a strong supporter of the American Heart Association. Bobby was married to actress Sandra Dee from 1960-1967. They had one son, Dodd, born in December 1961. As a result of complications from a rheumatic heart, Bobby's life was tragically cut short in 1973.
Darin's mother, Vanina Cassotto, had given birth to him when she was 16, and as a result, her parents raised Darin as though he were their son while Vanina was presented off as his elder sister. Darin did not learn the truth about his parentage until he was 32.

If you see me comin', lift your window high
And if you see me going, hang your head and cry
You've got a wail, got to roll all night long
Got to move, got to rock all night long
Got to roll, got to reel-a all night long
Got to reel like you feel-a all night long
Got to love me, pretty baby, till the sun comes up at dawn
Baby, you're so beautiful but you're gonna cry one day
I said, "You're so beautiful but you're gonna cry one day"
You're gonna feel so bad for-a treating me this way-a
You've got a wail got to roll all night long
Got to move, got to rock all night long
Got to roll, got to reel-a all night long
Got to reel what you feel-a all night long
Got to love me pretty, baby
Till the sun comes up at dawn
Forget your blues, let your love come tumbling down
Forget your blues, let your love come tumbling down, down
Have you heard the news, big loving Daddy's in town?
You got to roll, got to rock all night long
Got to move, got to wail-a all night long
Got to roll, got to reel-a all night long
Got to reel like you feel all night long
Got to love me pretty baby
Till the sun comes up at dawn
You've got to love me pretty baby
Till the sun comes up at dawn
You've got to love me pretty baby
Till the sun comes up at dawn
You've got to love me pretty baby
Till the sun comes up at dawn
The song "All Night Long" by Bobby Darin is a fun and upbeat tune that combines elements of rock, roll, and blues. The lyrics depict a love interest who is being warned to either lift her window high or hang her head and cry depending on whether she sees the singer coming or going. He wants her to love him all night long until the sun comes up at dawn, and forget her blues by letting her love come tumbling down. He also warns her that one day she will feel bad for treating him the way she does.
While the song's lyrics may seem simple on the surface, they can also be interpreted as the singer pleading with his lover to not play games with his heart. The repetition of the phrase "all night long" emphasizes the singer's desire for a long-lasting and fulfilling relationship. The upbeat tempo and catchy melody of the song further enhance the playful nature of the lyrics.
Overall, "All Night Long" is a great example of Bobby Darin's ability to fuse various genres of music together to create something new and exciting.

One heck of a entertainer. A life cut way to soon. RIP Mr. Darin. Remember one thing he was one of the first Emmy winners, in the late 50s. When the emmys started.
