Darin was a very special and talented entertainer. He was a Grammy award winning singer ('Mack The Knife'), a respected member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ('Dream Lover', 'Splish Splash', 'If I Were A Carpenter') a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, a successful record producer, an Oscar nominated actor and a strong supporter of the American Heart Association. Bobby was married to actress Sandra Dee from 1960-1967. They had one son, Dodd, born in December 1961. As a result of complications from a rheumatic heart, Bobby's life was tragically cut short in 1973.
Darin's mother, Vanina Cassotto, had given birth to him when she was 16, and as a result, her parents raised Darin as though he were their son while Vanina was presented off as his elder sister. Darin did not learn the truth about his parentage until he was 32.

See, see me walkin' down the street
Tryin' to make me look at you
You ain't got nothing' better to do, cause
I'd rather hang with my ladies
Then to have to deal with you
I told that I don't have the time for you so
Why, why you wanna talk to me, I know
You wanna see me plead
All I gotta say is keep on walkin'
Prove, what the hell I got to prove
I'm a girl who seeks the truth
All I gotta say is keep on walkin'
Tonight, you see me at the club again
You know I'm not lookin' to find
I just came to have a good time, hey
I, just cause I'm not like you
Ya gotta act like a fool
Nothin' I can say to you, oh you (Don't even)
Try to get down with me (Uh, uh)
Try to be my baby (No way)
Try to get next to me, oh me (Don't go there)
Try to start st with me (Don't try)
Try to get fresh with me (Uh, huh)
Try to ruin my party, hey yeah
I know you want to see that secret side of me
But that will never be, ohnever be
Inside I'm finally free
Don't need to prove a thing
You wanna step, just keep walkin'
The lyrics of "Keep a Walkin'" by Bobby Darin convey a sense of empowerment and self-assurance in the face of unwanted attention and pressure from others. The singer of the song is being pursued by someone who is trying to make her notice them, but she is not interested in their advances. Instead, she prefers to spend her time with her friends, as indicated by the line "I'd rather hang with my ladies."
The chorus of the song, with the repeated phrase "keep on walkin'," serves as a mantra of sorts, urging the pursuer to continue on their way and leave the singer alone. She is not interested in proving anything to them or engaging with their attempts to manipulate or control her. She asserts her independence and asserts that she will not be swayed by their actions.
The lyrics also highlight the singer's refusal to conform to societal expectations or to change who she is in order to please others. She states that she is not like the pursuer and will not act like a fool just to gain their approval. She asserts her own authority and freedom, emphasizing that they have no power over her and that she will not allow them to spoil her enjoyment or disrupt her life.

on Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home
One heck of a entertainer. A life cut way to soon. RIP Mr. Darin. Remember one thing he was one of the first Emmy winners, in the late 50s. When the emmys started.
