That Funny Feeling
Bobby Darin Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

There is an air about her
Something so square about her
That makes you care about her
More than you should

First that funny feeling then the warm comes on
A dull familiar lull before the storm comes on
The inconceivable

Becomes achievable
It's unbelievable
What you can do
When that funny feeling touches you
And she has got that funny feeling too

That funny feeling that puts such demands on you
Better never let her get her hands on you

The inconceivable
Becomes achievable
It's unbelievable
What you can do

Once that funny feeling touches you
And she has got that funny feeling too

I love Bobby singing this….. so wonderful…... I remember seeing him perform it on the Andy Williams show….. I loved the way he kept singing when he muffed the lyric….. he is this exceptional entertainer who gave every bit of himself to his audience…… being of old school every performance had to be totally perfect no matter how sick he was at the time……  when Bobby went on stage he was a totally different person and we never saw just how ill he truly was…… performing was imbedded within his blood and this is what drove Bobby…… what ever he did had to be done 1,000 percent perfection ALWAYS and was….. what he set out to do in his life Bobby achieved and some……  great lessons learnt from the likes of George Burns, Jimmy Durante and others stayed with Bobby to the day he passed……. Bobby wrote this song for the movie and performed it….. I thank God daily that we still have Bobby's recordings…… what a legacy left behind for us to remember him by…… we lost the greatest multi-talented genius the day Bobby passed from this world, December 20th, 1973…… now he sings with the angels in heaven……  YOU ARE LOVED DEARLY, REMEMBERED FONDLY, WILL REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER MORE NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN…… REST IN PEACE BOBBY DARIN !!!!!!!!  I still miss Bobby's smiling face and his awesome voice that touches me deeply….
