A World Without Love

And don't allow the day
Here inside where I hide
With my loneliness
I don't care what they say
I won't stay in a world without love
And rain outside hide the moon
I'm OK, here I'll stay
With my loneliness
I don't care what they say
I won't stay in a world without love
So I wait and in a while
I will see my true love's smile
He may come, I know not when
When he does I lose
So baby until then
Lock me away
And don't allow the day
Here inside where I hide
With my loneliness
I don't care what they say
I won't stay in a world without love
So I wait and in a while
I will see my true love's smile
He may come, I know not when
When he does I know
So baby until then
Lock me away
And don't allow the day
Here inside where I hide
With my loneliness
I don't care what they say
I won't stay in a world without love
I don't care what they say
I won't stay in a world without love
The lyrics to Bobby Goldsboro's song "A World Without Love" express the desire to escape from a world that lacks the one thing that makes life worth living, love. The singer is so consumed with loneliness that he wishes to be locked away from the rest of the world. The opening line says "Please lock me away and don't allow the day," which shows his intention to shut himself off from everything and everyone.
The next few lines compare the sounds of nature, such as singing birds and rain, to his own inner turmoil. The singer finds solace in his loneliness, and he determines that he would rather stay locked away than remain in a loveless world. In the last verse, the singer expresses hope that his true love will eventually return to him, and until then, he believes that a life in isolation is preferable to a life without love.
The song's message is timeless and universal, as most people can relate to the feeling of loneliness and the desire for love. It's a melancholic ballad that captures the universal pain of unrequited love and the lengths people will go to avoid feeling that pain.

I played this a lot on my turntable, so I know this version. However, because I am listed as a Prince in several European countries & Royalty marries Royalty, so I got pushed into an arranged marriage, but when I had that marriage annulled, she burned many of my albums because I would not stay in a world without love. Thanks for the memories Nancy.
