Hendricks was a member of The Swallows, The Flyers, and sang lead with The Drifters before becoming a successful solo act (he sang The Drifters' "Drip Drop").
His single "Itchy Twitchy Feeling," which was covered by his former band soon after it began attracting radio airplay, hit the U.S. charts, reaching #5 on the Black Singles chart and #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1958. Hendricks's only other charting single, "Psycho," was a novelty song depicting a psychiatrist talking with a patient. Psycho peaked at #73 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1960. New York City disc jockey Dr. Jive (Tommy Smalls) was the voice of the psychiatrist on "Psycho."
From 1961, off and on, through 2008, Bobby Hendricks worked as lead singer with Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters and appeared with them on PBS in the Doo Wop 51 television broadcast and Doo Wop Love Songs, singing "Stand By Me" with Bill Pinkney, Charlie Thomas, and Ben E. King.

This has been one of the most traumatizing cases I've ever heard. I still can't fathom what this monster did and how he did it.

I also think his mom is disgusting. In court she read a letter of support and love to her son Chris and still blames and disgraces Shanann.

I watch and read about tons and tons of true crime stories, but never have I ever listen to something like this and had chills running down my spine, and literally feel nauseous listening to him describe what he did to those little girls. We watched the Netflix documentary this evening, we’re in the UK.
This man is a monster, his crimes are amongst the most sadistic and evil I’ve ever heard. His parents, Shannon’s family broke our hearts with their grief, the little girls’ innocent questioning about their dead mother and what he planned to do with their own lives has cast a dark shadow over all humanity. I truly feel sorry for his troubled soul. Imagine being so empty that you are capable of such a horrifying act. Being just an empty vessel for guts, blood and skin. How sad that people like him will never know how wonderful it is to love someone more than you love yourself, like that of the love of a parent for a child. How sad that he was never able to feel the love and adoration his daughters had for him. I stumbled upon this case by accident and spent hours listening to the interrogations, interviews and other your tube videos on it. I don’t know if there is a more horrible story. This guy deserves to feel at least half the a log of pain he caused for the rest of his life. Being in protective custody for ever is a great start as he is not able to communicate or do anything productive. I have a toddler who is four years old. Non verbal deaf and has autism. This absolutely wrecks me everytime. I can't even imagine doing this to my baby girl. I can't even imagine what would be going on in her mind. Our children look at us as their super heroes and this man in whatever unexplainable fit of emotionless action, ended both of their lives. It really really boils my blood whenever he says "I don't remember." Or "I don't know." When he absolutely 100% knows the truth and knows the words, knows every single moment he did and the thoughts he had and the feelings. Yet he keeps not remembering cause he keeps on denying that he isn't a bad man but something else took over him that night. Which everyone knows it's b.s. He hasn't come forward with the truth about that night since day one but keeps on teasing.

My friend was the officer who was called in to remove the children''s bodies from the tank. She said it was the most horrific and most difficult thing that she has ever had to do. I will never forget the look on her face when she was talking about it. This absolutely destroyed her! I think having to do that would destroy me as well. :(

@Tomás Dobosz I have heard stories from friends and family and I cannot imagine. Same is true for friends of mine who were EMTs and Firefighters (my cousin included.) Some I know are still in therapy for things that they saw. I certainly could never do what they do/did.

My brother was in prison at the time Chris Watts was sentenced. He was in Florence, CO, and he said that the guys in gen pop were waiting for this dude to show up. Same thing at the prison in Limon. It’s true that they do have a system for “taking care of” people like this. I would never wish suffering on anybody, but I can’t say he doesn’t deserve it. Especially after seeing this video.

Poor Bella was such a good little girl she stayed in the back of the truck while her horrible father was placing her sister in an oil drum. There are just no words to explain how horrific this all is. My heart hurts for Nico, Shannan, Celeste and Bella .

Chris will only find peace and forgiveness by seeking God with all he's got and God may just take awhile to respond but he will ... one way or the other so I hope Chris finds forgiveness with him. And there, but for the Grace of God, go I. We've all sinned and fell short but we're never beyond the Love and Forgiveness of the Heavenly Father. This is why Jesus came and shed his own blood on the cross, for all of us, even Chris!

If someone doesn’t want to be with their partner they can tell them straight up, TALK ABOUT IT, separate, divorce (sure might not be easy) and/or leave them. Putting myself in those shoes.. had I been off my rocker or possessed by some “evil spirit”.
When I came back to and realized what happened.. I’d put a pistol in my mouth.
There’s no way I could go on. There’s no way I could hear those words in my head “no daddy”.. “is the same thing gonna happen to me that happened to cece”. As a Father of a 4yr old Daughter, this was disturbing to the max, i could NEVER imagine hurting my Lil one in any type of way. I would die inside, mentally and emotionally to know that im the cause of pain to my baby. Men don't hurt your children, it's not their fault your relationship isn't working. He doesn't remember what his last words were to his daughter before he smothered her, after smothering her sister in front of her. This man is literal evil. Pure evil. Those poor babies died in fear. I have never heard this or knew this. I thought the girls were already dead before he got out to the tank. But to know she watched him smother her sister to death and put her in the tank before she died. That poor baby. Poor baby.
