by so many lovers
And you think I just the same
like all the others
I know it's hard to believe
somebody new
but you better believe without
I guarantee this love real
In Bobby Nunn's song "Don't Knock It," the lyrics describe a situation in which the singer is trying to convince their lover to trust them and not let past heartbreaks dictate their current relationship. The singer acknowledges that their lover has likely been hurt by previous partners, and because of that, they may have reservations about the current relationship. However, the singer assures their lover that they are not like the others and that the love they share is real.
The lyrics are a testament to the idea that trust is key in any relationship. Although it can be difficult to open up to somebody new after being hurt in the past, it's important to give love a chance and take that leap of faith. The singer puts forth a convincing argument, telling their lover that they can guarantee the love they share is genuine.
The song has a catchy beat and upbeat melody, which underscores the message of hope that the lyrics express. Ultimately, "Don't Knock It" is an inspiring song that encourages listeners to keep the faith and believe in the power of love.
