As a Christian artist Bobby feels he has the responsibility to write songs that encourage people and bring them up, not tear them down.
Bobby grew up listening to Boyz II Men and Brian Mcknight wishing that there were more singers in their style that praised God in the pop arena. Bobby is quoted in saying, "Young people are dealing with the same relationship struggles and temptations regardless if they are Christians or not. It's important that they have music that talks about those things, yet still shows Christ's love as the most important ingredient throughout, and hopefully for someone who doesn't believe in Jesus, points them that way." Bobby was signed to a label mid 2004, but much to his shock and surprise things never got off the ground. "Many of the things that the record company told me at the time I was signed were just not true. It's sad that people do that, and that I had to go through that whole mess, but it's in times like those that you have to trust God, know that ultimately it's in His timing, and believe that He will open the right doors." What looked like a closed door actually became a blessing in disguise. Bobby formed his own music production company (More Than Hype Records) and by touring on his own and doing several radio station interviews, he was able to catch the attention of Dave and Mia Richards (MD Records).

Dying in the streets of the day
Homeless this man on a corner begging for a quarter saying sir can you spare some change, oh
I wish that I could take all the pain in the world and make it go away, but I can't
The work you do will sure inspire you
To go loud, scream out, don't stay in a box, break out
Every boy and every girl gotta make a difference in this world,
Gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make a difference in this world
Don't go acting like a fool, shoot some schools, violence escalating everyday
Has the world gone mad, looking at we're at?
I'm afraid to have a baby cause it's not safe
I wish that I could take all the pain in the world and make it go away, but I can't
The work you do will sure inspire you
To go loud, scream out, don't stay in a box, break out
Every boy and every girl gotta make a difference in this world,
Gotta make a difference in this world, gotta make a difference in this world
Gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make a difference in this world
I still believe that with love we can conquer
All men are equal and God is our Father
Ain't nobody gotta hate tonight, nobody got a dynamite, oh
Now we will join hands tonight six billion straw won't stop them go
Go loud, scream out, don't stay in a box, break out
Every boy and every girl gotta make a difference in this world,
Gotta make a difference in this world, gotta make a difference in this world
Gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make a difference in this world
I still believe that with love we can conquer
All men are equal and God is our Father
Gotta make a difference in this world, gotta make a difference in this world
Gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make, gotta make a difference in this world.
The lyrics to Bobby Tinsley's "Difference" are incredibly powerful and thought-provoking. The song speaks to the painful reality that many face around the world, where children are starving and dying in the streets while others live in excess. Tinsley questions why this is happening and urges listeners to take on a more active role in making a change. He explains that while he wishes he could solve all the world's problems, he knows that he cannot do it alone.
Tinsley highlights the importance of inspiring others to act, to go loud and scream out, and not stay in a box. He calls on every boy and girl to make a difference in the world, to recognize their own strength and capabilities. Tinsley also speaks out against the widespread violence, from school shootings to acts of terrorism, and stresses the need for love in conquering these issues. He expresses that all humans are equal and that we must come together, regardless of our differences, to make a difference in the world.
Overall, the lyrics of "Difference" deliver a powerful message, urging individuals to take meaningful action to create a better world.
