Run To Him
Bobby Vee Lyrics

If you've found another guy
Who satisfies you more than I do
Run to him
I'll step aside

If you think his lips can kiss you
Better than my lips can kiss you
Run to him
Forget my pride
If someone else's arms can hold you
Better than my arms can hold you
Go to him
And show to him
All your devotion

If somebody else can make you
Happier than I can make you
Run to him
My tears will dry

If someone else's arms can hold you
Better than my arms can hold you
Go to him
And show to him all your devotion

If somebody else can make you
Happier than I can make you
Run to him
My tears will dry

If it's me you want to love you
I'll be more than glad to love you
Love you 'til your life is done
But darling, if I'm not the one
Then run to him

I am 67 yrs old, grew up in the 60's listening to some of the best music made. This song still gives me chills. I was a teenager in love when this came out. Bobby sang so many beautiful songs!

Listening to music from the 50's and early 60's makes me weirdly happy and sad at the same time, especially Bobby Vee. As I'm getting older (though I'm only sixteen), I really have a fondness this type of music when times were more innocent and gentle, people sang about real love and feelings. Traditional values were held close to the world. There are some good songs produced today to listen to, but most of it is so unwholesome and all includes fornification, drugs, drunkenness, foul/unclassy language, and essentially anything that is displeasing to God and to our ears. It's a shame our world can't be like it was before the nightmarish 70's came around with absolutely evil and defiance to the previous culture. Lord have mercy on us! I'm grateful we are so blessed with the wonderful technology and the right to still have those "old-fashioned" values, however. I surely do hope and pray our world just starts having some common sense and morals again.

Edit: I can already see the keyboard warriors coming with this, but I disclude the bringing back of racial segregation by all means. When I say traditional values, I mean those on marriage and family life.
