To Know You Is To Love You
Bobby Vinton Lyrics

Oh, how blind can you be?
To know, know, know you
Is to love, love, love you
Just to see you smile
Makes my life worthwhile
To know, know, know you
Is to love, love, love you
And I do, yes I do, yes I do
I'll be good to you
And I'll bring love to you
Oh, everyone says there'll come a day
When I'll walk along side of you
And to know, know, know you
Is to love, love, love you
And I do, yes I do, yes I do
Why can't you see?
Oh, how blind can you be?
Someday you'll see
That you were meant for me
To know, know, know you
Is to love, love, love you
Just to see you smile
Makes my life worthwhile
To know, know, know you
Is to love, love, love you
And I do, yes I do, yes I do
And I do, yes I do, yes I do
Yes I do
The lyrics of Bobby Vinton's song "To Know You Is To Love You" is a declaration of love, sung by a man who is head over heels for a woman, but she is not aware of his feelings. The song is an emotional plea to the woman to notice him and recognize how much he cares for her. The first two lines, "Why can't you see? Oh, how blind can you be?" emphasizes his frustration that the woman can't see how much he loves her. He believes that if she knew him, she would love him as well.
The chorus of the song, "To know, know, know you, Is to love, love, love you," repeats the central theme of the song. The singer is urging the woman to get to know him because if she does, she will see that he is the right person for her. He reassures her that he will be good to her and bring love to her. The culmination of his feelings is the line "And I do, yes I do, yes I do," which emphasizes his full commitment to her.
The song's final verse, "Someday you'll see, That you were meant for me," suggests that the man is confident that the woman will eventually reciprocate his feelings. The song's gentle melody reflects the vulnerability of the singer and the sincerity of his emotions.

My dad sang this song to me as a lullaby growing up. He died suddenly a couple months ago. This song makes me feel like I’m with him a little bit ❤️

I was never a Vinton fan. However, now a 55 year old man, I can still hear my mother singing his hits as she danced around the kitchen with her then 7 year old little boy. Thank you for the memories Bobby

Those days was a blessing to hear a song like this. These days new songs may have the lyrics, but today's singers will never ever sing songs that were so full of meaningful lyrics. God bless those singers

The lives we lead reflect the music we love. Today’s music just asks for trouble. Bobby Vinson is gentle class

This song, just like Dolly Parton's "To Know Him Is To Love Him" could easily be a worship song, sung to Jesus. Just think, once you know Jesus, you will love Him. And when He smiles down on us (blesses us) it does make life worthwhile.
