The duo was formed in 1983, and consisted of Norwegian Hanne Krogh and Swedish-Norwegian Elisabeth Andreassen.
Bobbysocks was disbanded in 1988; however, Hanne and "Bettan" (Andreassen) still occasionally appear on stage together. In October 2005, they made a guest appearance at Congratulations, the show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2010 Bobbysocks celebrated their 25th anniversary by released a compilation album and performing several concerts.
Let it swing
Bobbysocks Lyrics

And I'm half-way bound with reaching for the stars
No, I don't have time to swing, no time for laughter
But a voice inside my head keeps singing loud
Let it swing and let it rock and roll
Let it swing and let the feeling take control
Oooh, ah, oooh
There's a guy on top who's sittin' fine forever
Got the world and everything that's called the best
Now he don't say much unless there's room for talking, ohoho
Just a sign above the door to his success
Let it swing and let it rock and roll
Let it swing and let the feeling take control
Oooh, ah, oooh
Let it swing and let it rock and roll
No, you don't have time to swing, no time for laughter
A voice inside your head keeps singing loud
Singin' loud
Let it swing and let it rock and roll
Let it swing and let the feeling take control
Oooh, ah, oooh
Let it swing and let it rock and roll
Let it swing and let it rock and roll
Let it swing and let the feeling take control
Oooh, ah, oooh
Let it swing and let it rock and
Swing and let it roll and
Swing and let it rock and roll
Ohohohoho
The lyrics of Bobbysocks's Let it Swing describe the feeling of excitement and determination as the singer climbs up a ladder towards their goal of reaching the stars. Despite being busy and focused on their journey, there is a voice inside their head that keeps reminding them to let loose and enjoy the moment. The chorus encourages the listener to let it swing and let the feeling take control, giving in to the joy and energy of the music.
The second verse introduces a man who appears to have achieved success and possesses everything he could want. However, he remains quiet and only communicates when necessary, displayed by the sign above his door. The contrast between the two characters highlights the idea that success means different things to different people and that it's important to find one's own path and enjoy the journey along the way.
The song's upbeat tempo and catchy melody reinforce the message of letting loose and enjoying the moment, rather than focusing solely on the end goal. The lyrics also suggest that success can be achieved while having fun and taking the time to appreciate life's simple pleasures.

Not sure if you all forgot :) They won the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 with this song "La det swinge" ("Let it swing") - for Norway.
@AbsoluteMiniacGena
I could never forget. 1985 was a great year for music with Live Aid raising big money too for starving Africans.
I actually prefer this sung in Norwegian. The tempo is ever so slightly slower when sung in English. It probably makes it easier to fit the English words in but I prefer the teensy bit faster Norwegian lyrics
