Dopaje
Boikot Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The song "Dopaje" by Boikot speaks about the struggle of living a life that is defined by work, with mundane daily routines that are devoid of any real meaning or enjoyment, and finishing each day exhausted and drained. The first stanza of the song describes how the singer wakes up feeling sick and tired and spends the rest of his day toiling at a meaningless job, a job that only brings frustration and annoyance to his life.

In the chorus, the singer suggests to his friends that they should escape the monotony of their daily lives and seek refuge in drugs: "Let’s go somewhere where we can get f***ed up, up to our eyebrows, high as f***." The singer is willing to spend all his remaining money on alcohol and drugs, which he sees as a way to escape his mundane existence and experience some pleasure.

The second verse describes how the singer's addiction to drugs has gotten out of control. He is in a constant haze, unable to distinguish between reality and his delusions. The singer is aware that what he is doing is a dangerous habit, but he justifies it by saying that he has his vices, just like anybody else.

The song is a reflection of the desperation and disillusionment that many people feel in their daily lives. It highlights the need for people to seek out meaningful experiences that go beyond the mundane routines of work and daily life.
