Feel
Bombay Bicycle Club Lyrics

I have made you all that I want
I know you're keeping to your own sound
You're running out of sight
When the light goes down
Said you'll be waiting 'til the night's done
But there's no one
But I always knew you'd come
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one hope
I can feel it coming so clear
I can feel you already there
And I can see you with my eyes shut
You're running in my head and I can't keep up
Said you'll be waiting for the next one
But I always knew, I always knew you'd come
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one hope
Our love was long, so long
And then forgotten like an old song
You said your life went on
But I always knew, I knew you'd come
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Then I know
In Bombay Bicycle Club's song "Feel," the singer expresses a sense of longing for a past love who has moved on. The singer describes feeling the presence of the lost love as an ever-present sensation, even though they are physically absent. The singer's desire is fueled by the hope and belief that the love they once shared will return, and they will be reunited again.
The lyrics suggest that the singer has thoroughly romanticized their past relationship with the lost love. They have elevated the love they shared to the status of an ideal, embodying everything they want and need. However, the lost love has seemingly moved on and will not wait for the singer to return. Despite this, the singer holds on to the hope of rekindling their relationship and finding happiness.
Overall, "Feel" is a contemplative song that delves into the raw emotions surrounding the loss of a loved one. The singer's search for closure and reconciliation speaks to the universal experience of heartbreak and the human desire for connection.

I can feel it now that you've gone
I am experiencing a distinct feeling now that you are no longer present
I have made you all that I want
I have placed all the significance of my desires onto you
I know you're keeping to your own sound
I understand that you are staying true to your individual perspective
You're running out of sight
You are evading my vision
When the light goes down
As the illumination fades away
Said you'll be waiting 'til the night's done
You communicated that you will wait until the night is complete
But there's no one
However, there are no individuals present
And the world went on
The universe continued to function
But I always knew you'd come
I perpetually had the knowledge that you would return
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Only a singular emotion, a singular sensation
Then I know
Then I comprehend
I can feel it coming so clear
I can distinctly sense something approaching
I can feel you already there
I am already sensing your presence
And I can see you with my eyes shut
With my eyes closed, I can visualize your image
You're running in my head and I can't keep up
You are causing my thoughts to run wild and I cannot keep up
Said you'll be waiting for the next one
You declared that you shall wait for the subsequent event
But I always knew, I always knew you'd come
But I consistently had the knowledge that you would arrive
Our love was long, so long
Our affection was extensive, extremely lengthy
And then forgotten like an old song
And then disregarded like an outdated melody
You said your life went on
You conveyed that your life continued forward
But I always knew, I knew you'd come
But I perpetually had the awareness that you would return
Just one feeling, just one feeling
Only a singular emotion, a singular sensation
Just one hope
Only a single aspiration
Then I know
Then I comprehend

this 2008-2014 era of indie music was so different within groups yet so unique
@MixRafTec
I listened to the 2001-2007 first era of indie music and this second era always sounded like the next generation. Now looking back.. it was also a good moment in the history of this genre
@LightLife4
Though the 2001-7 era saw brilliant indie revival the 2008-14 era saw more, exciting indie being embraced. Creativity was no longer being feared
