After releasing their first EP 'Baby, It's A Face' (produced by Tjeerd Bomhof), they toured around Holland, Belgium and The Balkans and the single 'Curve Ball' got picked up by Dutch radiostations 3FM (3VOOR12 Radio) and Kink FM.
This year the band underwent a change of direction by going from a trio to a duo, taking on the lead vocals themselves and writing a set of completely new songs for their debutalbum.
They've recorded this album with producer Simon Akkermans (C-mon and Kypski) at creative breeding ground Kytopia in Utrecht.
In december they've travelled to NYC to mix the record with Eli Janney (Girls Against Boys), who, among others, worked with The Rapture, Holy Fuck, Ryan Adams and Hooverphonic.
At the moment they're touring again with a whole new live-set, debuted at Noorderslag 2012, and have released their new album ‘Vulture / Provider’, may 3rd 2012 on Kytopia Records.

Making Friends
Bombay Show Pig Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Sunbeams won't wish me goodnight
Distraction comes cheap
Daydream might turn of the lights
But my eyes stay open
Making friends with the blindfold
Then I do him over
Return to the scene
A good place to stay out of sight
I wear my face clean
So I don't fall out of mind
But my eyes stay open
Making friends with the moon
Is only making him lonely
Cause I'm so co-o-o-o-o-old
I'm bored with caffeine
But I still drink out of spite
I raised enough questions
To last a hard days night
Keep my eyes wide open
Looking out for the inside
With a smile stiff frozen
Casue I'm so co-o-o-o-o-old
The lyrics to Bombay Show Pig's song "Making Friends" convey a sense of isolation and detachment, both from oneself and from others. The singer of the song seems to be struggling with insomnia, as "sunbeams won't wish [them] goodnight" and they're left with cheap distractions and daydreams that don't offer much solace. The phrase "making friends with the blindfold" suggests that the singer is accustomed to navigating their way through the world without really seeing it, either because they're wearing a blindfold metaphorically or because they simply can't see the beauty or meaning around them. The line "then I do him over / cause I'm so co-o-o-o-o-old" is intriguing, as it's unclear what "him" refers to - perhaps the singer is sabotaging a relationship or interaction with someone because they're unable to connect emotionally, or perhaps they're merely describing a general apathy that characterizes their worldview.
The second verse of the song continues with the theme of staying hidden and invisible, as the singer returns to a scene where they can remain "out of sight" and wears a clean face to avoid being remembered or recognized. The line "making friends with the moon / is only making him lonely" is a poignant observation about the loneliness of someone who feels disconnected from the world around them, even when they try to reach out to it. The refrain of "cause I'm so co-o-o-o-o-old" underscores the emotionless, almost robotic state of mind that the singer finds themselves in - they're bored with caffeine and raising questions out of habit rather than curiosity. The final lines of the song convey a sense of resignation, as the singer smiles stiffly and keeps their eyes open, but seems unable to truly connect with others.
