2) Project from Pat DeSerio the same producer of Kebekelektrik and Rational Youth. Canadian group fronted by the vocals of Tamara Lorincz and Mack "BC" Jones burst on the scene in 1978.
3)Bombers are a band from Queens New York, set out to play their version of self coined "reality rock". This entailed songs about real life love, hate, violence, poverty, addiction, abandonment and all of the other emotions and memories conjured while growing up in the great melting pot that is NYC. With a unique blend of punk, dance, and classic rock with crooning dual vocal melodies, powerful lyrics, and thunderous guitar and bass lines, Bombers set out to bring you the truth in music. Now with some fresh faces and the same hard will, Bombers hopes to bring the world around them a soundtrack for everyday life.
4)Bombers are Matty Warke, David Owen, Darren Mullen and David Duell, an alternative post punk band from Birmingham, UK. Artrocker described them as 'The Birthday Party running riot in Joy Division’s and Swans back garden; at night, whilst it’s a bit chilly and possibly on bonfire night.'. It is this Bombers that are listed in Events as playing the HMV Institute on April 21st.

Get up on the floor, dancing
Everybody, come on
Get on the floor, get dancing
Now's the time to leave your worries behind
Time is just right, dancing in the disco light
I can tell by the way your body moves
Shake it to the floor
Shake, shake, shake it some more
Do it!
Do it!
Everybody, come on
Get on the floor, get dancing
Everybody, come on
Get on the floor, get dancing
Dancing
Deedeedeedah, deedeedeedah
Dancing
Deedeedeedah, deedeedeedah
Do it!
Do it!
Everybody in town I wanna see you get on down
Get dancing
I wanna see you move your feet to the disco beat
Get dancing
Shake it to the floor, shake it some more
Get dancing
I know you gotta groove, I can tell by the way your body moves
Get dancing
Get up on the floor, get dancing
Come on, make it funky
Make it funky, make it funky!
Hahaha
Everybody get up on the floor
I, I want to see you dance some more
Come on, get up out of your seat
And let me see you move your feet
Everybody, come on
Get up on the floor, get dancing, get dancing
Get dancing, get dancing
Get dancing, get dancing
Come on, come on
Get dancing, get dancing

This takes me back many years. I believe here in the UK the 12" single was on orange vinyl. Thursday night was club night. Thanks for posting.

1979 was the best year for disco / dance music...ever! This song was among the best of that grouping. Not sure why I just thought to look it up on YT outta the blue.Had'nt heard it in at least 20 years...until now. Brings back some great memories. Thanx.
@Mannchild11
A Netizen Sorry I disagree. I started out as a DJ in 1975 and '79 was the year we all had to hold on for dear life to save disco. alec r, erotic drum band, donna summer, pattie brooks, salsoul orchestra, cerrone all came out before 79.

+A Netizen Agree with you.

+Mannchild11- I remember the world fazing our music out because it was the biggest thing out there and no other music could ever overthrow it. Sadly, the haters won and brought it down. :(

79 thru 81. I like when it starts to lose the R&B, the brass, and violins, and starts to get experimental and TechnoNewWave. Trippy and synthy.
But then again, revisiting this song...It was way ahead of its time and not so disco-formulaic. Diggin' it!

was it chic that played the instrumentals?

Def the best year. Listen to the disconet remix 1979, perfect and for me only highlights in that year.
