They started in their hometown Curitiba in the south of Brazil, mixing rock guitar riffs with funk carioca (sometimes known as baile funk or Brazilian funk). By putting together a unique blend of Rio de Janeiro's aggressive baile funk beats heavily influenced by the mashup school of 2 Many DJs and the like, they draw from rock 'n roll classic riffs and electro-infused pop stardards making raw party bliss!

Bonde has been used in various media after being signed to the British label Domino Records: Solta O Frango is heard in a worldwide campaign for the cellphone company Nokia, and the same track was used in another commercial for the hit series Ugly Betty on Channel 4 in the UK.
