Born to a mother who designed clothing and a father who was a web designer. His grandfather was actor Robert Culp. When Bones was 7 years old, his family moved to Howell, Michigan. Bones and his manager Elliott O’Connor, who is also his brother, have both stated that major labels have shown interest in signing him but he has declined up to this point. Bones Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Wonder where you are, when you're, oh, so far
Sun goes down and the nights get cold
I hope you're okay, I just wanna come back home
I can't sleep without you here
I can't breathe without you near
Lot of things I wanna say
Just know that I love you every day
Love you every day
Just know that you're everything to me
Love you every day
Just know that you're everything to me
I could love you every day
Just know that you're everything to me
Rollin' a back, hundred bitches on my lap
In the coke white caddy, it's the young white mack
Tryna jack, turn back, razor blade on my lap
Put the steel to your cap then be ghost in a flash, like
Turn off the lights, I'm coming home
I don't wanna see you all alone
I don't like to hear your pain, girl
I just wanna feed you drugs, girl
Love you every day
Just know that you're everything to me
Love you every day
Just know that you're everything to me
In these lyrics, Bones expresses a sense of longing and concern for someone who is physically distant. The opening lines depict a sense of confusion and uncertainty, riding in a car without knowing the destination, and wondering where the person he cares about is while they are far away. This suggests a feeling of disconnection and a desire to be reunited with them. The reference to the sun going down and the nights getting cold further emphasizes the feelings of loneliness and longing.
The chorus reveals the depth of the singer's emotions. They express their dependence on the presence of this person by saying they can't sleep or breathe without them near. This highlights the strong bond and attachment the singer feels towards the person they love. Despite not being able to express everything they want to say, the singer reassures the person that they love them every day. This shows their commitment and dedication to the relationship.
In the second verse, the tone takes a darker turn. The singer describes a scene where they are driving in a glamorous car surrounded by numerous people, but within this hedonistic image, there is a sense of danger and a disregard for others' well-being. There's a mention of drugs, as the singer implies a desire to escape reality and ease the pain, rather than confronting it head-on. The line about wanting to feed the person drugs displays a troubling perspective on love, suggesting a destructive approach to coping with their pain.
Despite the contrast between the two verses, the chorus remains consistent in its message. The repetition of the statements "Love you every day, just know that you're everything to me" reinforces the importance of this person's presence and the depth of the singer's love. It also creates a sense of reassurance, emphasizing that, despite the darker elements mentioned earlier, the singer's love and devotion remain unchanged.
Overall, these lyrics reflect a complex mix of emotions, including longing, dependence, concern, and even darker and potentially harmful tendencies. The singer's love for this person remains consistently emphasized throughout, but the contrasting imagery suggests a struggle with inner demons and a longing for escape from reality.
