1. Elmo Kennedy O'Connor, known professionally as Bones, is an American rapper from Howell, Michigan. He is notable for the frenetic pace at which he releases new music, including over 40 mix tapes and 88 music videos since 2011, and his resistance to signing with a major record label or charging money for his music despite significant popularity and label interest. Born to a mother who designed clothing and a father who was a web designer. His grandfather was actor Robert Culp. When Bones was 7 years old, his family moved to Howell, Michigan. When he was 16, he dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles where his brother, Elliott, had already been living.
He has collaborated on three tracks with Raider Klan member Eddy Baker, including “High”, “Delinquents”, and “PayPal” off of Bones's albums Saturn (2013), Creep (2013), and Garbage (2014). Bones also performs and collaborates often with Xavier Wulf and another former Raider Klan member Chris Travis. Bones is 1 of the 4 members in the collective Seshollowaterboyz, which consists of Him (Bones), Xavier Wulf, Chris Travis, and Eddy Baker.
In 2014, Bones self-released 5 mixtapes through his label TeamSesh, including Garbage, which received coverage and critical acclaim from notable publications including The Fader, Pigeons & Planes, and RESPECT.

Bones and his manager Elliott O’Connor, who is also his brother, have both stated that major labels have shown interest in signing him but he has declined up to this point. According to Max Bell of LA Weekly, "interested labels wanted him to be their 'white rapper,' an artist along the lines of Mac Miller and Machine Gun Kelly. But Bones wasn't interested in being remade.

DieForMe
Bones Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I see you, and I hope you see me too
I want you, and I hope you want me too
I want you, and I hope you want me too
Dead of the night (what?)
Running from the light (Bones)
Everything change when you find it's all a lie (lie)
Want to die, but I know I'll be okay (what?)
Save me from the past that I can't seem to shake, you can make it all okay
Tell me that you'd die for me, baby
Tell me that you'd die for me slowly
Feed that bitch pills (what? What?)
Watch her pass away ('way)
Smoking in the dark then I'm ashing on her grave
In the song "DieForMe" by Bones, the artist likens his need for his partner to a desperate, almost painful longing. The first four lines of the song express this need in different ways, establishing the repetition of the phrase "I want you, and I hope you want me too" as a refrain. As the song progresses, the lyrics turn darker, describing a sense of confusion and disillusionment with life. The line "everything changes when you find it's all a lie" suggests a sense of betrayal or loss of innocence, while the line "wake up in the middle of the night, want to die, but I know I'll be okay" portrays a sense of desperation and hopelessness, but also a determination to survive.
The second half of the song takes a more intense and graphic turn, with Bones talking about "feeding that bitch pills" and "watching her pass away." These lines have been interpreted in different ways - some believe they refer to Bones' own substance abuse issues, while others think they could be a metaphor for a destructive relationship. The final line of the song, "smoking in the dark then I'm ashing on her grave," suggests a sense of finality and acceptance of death. Throughout the song, Bones is grappling with complex emotions and trying to find a sense of meaning and connection in a world that can seem cruel and baffling.
