Bones Lyrics

Haunted house, haunted blunts
Blowin' ghosts when I'm dopin' up
Three knocks, open up
Spider webs cover everything
100 'Woods, that ain't enough
She rollin' drugs 'til her fingers bleed
Pass her way, she pass away
Overdose and I'm the one the blame
Young BONES, she know my name
All alone, all alone, close my eyes and then I'm in my zone
Dyin' slow, dyin' slow, ring the bell but ain't no one home
Haunted house, step inside
Welcome to my world
Dead girls on the floor, more in my room
Haunted house, step inside
Welcome to my life
Just the young dead boy with a knife
The lyrics of Bones's song "HauntedHouse" resonate deeply with themes of drug use, loneliness, and the feeling of being trapped in a dark, twisted reality. In the opening lines, the artist describes being high and coming down while rolling up a blunt, creating a sense of disorientation and detachment from reality. The reference to a haunted house and haunted blunts adds a haunting and eerie atmosphere to the scene, suggesting a feeling of being surrounded by darkness and ghosts while seeking solace in drugs.
The imagery of spider webs covering everything and the mention of "100 'Woods" not being enough further emphasizes the sense of entrapment and suffocation within this haunted house of drug use. The depiction of a woman rolling drugs until her fingers bleed speaks to a destructive and compulsive behavior, highlighting the toll that substance abuse can take on individuals. The references to passing away, flicking ash, and potential overdose reflect a sense of despair and self-destructive tendencies present in the singer's surroundings.
The repeated phrases "all alone" and "dyin' slow" convey a profound sense of loneliness and impending doom, suggesting a feeling of isolation and helplessness in the face of one's own struggles. The imagery of ringing a bell but finding no one home symbolizes a cry for help or connection that goes unanswered, further emphasizing the theme of abandonment and despair. The mention of the artist's own name, Young BONES, amidst this dark and desolate setting adds a personal touch to the lyrics, creating a sense of introspection and self-awareness in the face of inner turmoil.
As the song progresses, the singer invites the listener to step inside the haunted house, welcoming them into a world filled with dead girls and a young dead boy with a knife. This chilling imagery evokes a sense of unease and foreboding, painting a picture of a twisted and macabre existence where the line between reality and fantasy is blurred. Overall, "HauntedHouse" by Bones delves deep into themes of addiction, loneliness, and existential dread, creating a haunting and poignant narrative that lingers in the mind of the listener long after the song has ended.
