There were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted

The purpose of Jesus Christ's birth was to free humanity from the enslavement of sin.

And love may reign once more
Jesus Christ's birth brings a message of love that can prevail again.

When in the crib they found Him
When they found Jesus in the crib where he was born.

A golden halo crowned Him
Jesus was depicted with a golden halo around him.

They gathered all around Him
People surrounded Jesus to see him.

To see Him and adore (this day will live forever)
People gathered to see and honor Jesus and remember the day for the rest of their lives.

They had become to doubt You
People had lost their faith in God.

What did they know about You?
People were unsure and confused about God.

But they were lost without You
People felt lost without God.

They needed You so bad (His light is shining on us)
People felt the need for God, and His light was shining on them.

With the child's adoration
With the adoration of Jesus as a child.

There came great jubilation
People experienced a great feeling of happiness and joy.

And full of admiration
People were filled with admiration for Jesus.

They realized what they had (until the sun falls from the sky)
People realized the significance of Jesus and celebrated it forever.

You sent Your son to save us
God sent Jesus to save humanity.

Your very self You gave us
God gave Himself in the form of Jesus Christ.
