"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled."
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th' angelic host proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem."
"Glory to the newborn King!
Hail! the heav'n-born Prince of peace!
Hail! the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
Risen with healing in his wings
Mild he lays his glory by,
Born that man no more may die:
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the newborn King!
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled."
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th' angelic host proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem."
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the newborn King!

The lyrics "peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled" reference the message of salvation that Jesus brought to the world through his life, death, and resurrection. The verse concludes with an invitation for all nations to join in the celebration and proclaim Christ's birth in Bethlehem.
The second verse continues the celebration, calling Jesus the "heav'n-born Prince of Peace" and the "Son of Righteousness." The lyrics "light and life to all he brings, risen with healing in his wings" refer to Jesus' role as the savior of the world and the one who brings hope and healing to those who believe in him. The verse ends with the declaration that Jesus was born to "raise the sons of earth" and "give them second birth," referencing the idea of spiritual rebirth and eternal life through faith in Christ.

Though it is a Christmas song but I never tired of listening to it. Hark! the Herald is a wonderful and memorable song. It returned me to the night where I was having my pre-Christmas dinner fronting the iconic building. Someone out there would share the same feeling with me. It was marked as the theme for the occasion.

AMAZING MUSIC. Unimaginable combination of soft sounds, with simple chord progressions. I am just dumbfounded with surprise at the genius of the composers who made such a wonderful version of "" hark the herald angels sing"". this is a music from the heart.
