Giving a preference to various shapes of Disco and Soul, he's skillfully balancing on the edge between current trends and retro sound stylizations. Boogrov doesn't put himself into the rigid frames of genres. Pop music and electronic experiments attract him equally.

In March of 2015 Boogrov presented his debut EP called 'Ostium'.
Work on the EP lasted for almost half a year. It includes four brand new songs. Three of them are collaborations with New Yourk-based vocalist Ayer, Ukrainian singer Aluna as well as with the best young Russian Pop-band Mana Island.

Overall Meaning

The song "Skazka" by Boogrov tells a story of a cat who lived in the forest in ancient times when cats were not domesticated animals. The cat got bored living alone and decided to befriend a rabbit. She admired his fur and ears and enjoyed watching him run. One day while they were walking in the forest, two hunting dogs came after them. The cat quickly climbed a tree, but the rabbit was caught and killed by the dogs. The cat was devastated and decided to befriend a fox instead. However, the fox turned out to be selfish and got caught in a trap while trying to steal a chicken. The cat then befriended a bear and felt safe walking with him. But one day, a hunter appeared and killed the bear. The cat realized that the strongest creature was a human and decided to become friends with one. However, when she saw a woman make a lot of noise with a poker, scaring the hunter away, she changed her mind and befriended the woman instead, who even gave her some milk.

The story in the song can be interpreted as a cautionary tale about the dangers of trusting the wrong people and the importance of choosing good friends. The cat's journey through different animal friends represents the search for companionship and belonging. Each new friendship starts with excitement and admiration, but ends in disappointment or tragedy. The final decision to befriend the woman instead of the hunter can be seen as a rejection of violence and a preference for nurturing and peaceful relationships.

The cat was furious and missed her friend. She made friends with a fox, who turned out to be self-centered and shameless. She brought them a chicken but ate everything herself, even the wings. While looking for more prey, she got trapped.
