Boosie then had an opportunity to join an newer, growing record label called Trill Entertainment which was backed by Pimp C of UGK. Boosie appeared several times on the "Southern Smoke" mixtapes hosted by DJ Smallz and C-Murder, and had an biographical article in The Source magazine. Boosie then released his hit album Bad Azz, which featured songs such as "Ratchet", "Set it Off", and "They be on a Nigga".

Boosie's latest release is Bad Azz vol. 2, which will be released on October 23. It features songs such as,"Pick Her Up," "Booty Talk", and "Zoom" which features Yung Joc. "I'm Mad" is a single on his new album. "Zoom" is the current single.
