１９６８年ごろのヒット曲でしたね。「ビート・ポップス」「ザ・ヒットパレード」「プラチナ・ゴールデン・ショー」なんかでよく取り上げられていましたね。
これは日本だけのヒットじゃなかったかな。日本人受けする哀調あるメロディーですね。
自分自身は小学生だったけど、この曲は大好きでした。
