The group is signed to Sumerian Records and has released three full lengths and two EPs on the label. Their album, A Higher Place, reached number 73 on the Billboard 200. Their second full-length album, The Discovery, released March 22, 2011, debuted at 87 on the Billboard 200. Their third album, Tomorrow We Die ∆live, released August 20, 2013, debuted at 27 on the Billboard 200, selling 13,052 copies in the first week.
Born of Osiris has played at various festivals including the Summer Slaughter Tour (2008 and 2009) and the Music as a Weapon Tour 4. In 2009, they played on a co-headline tour named The Night of the Living Shred Tour with All Shall Perish, After the Burial, Caliban and Suffokate; Born of Osiris also supported Hatebreed on the Decimation of the Nation Tour 2, alongside Cannibal Corpse, Unearth and Hate Eternal. In December 2009, they asked Jason Richardson of All Shall Perish to join Born of Osiris. This began a two-year period of member stability which resulted in the writing and release of The Discovery.
On December 21, 2011, Born of Osiris fired guitarist Jason Richardson without prior notice. The official press release came three weeks later. Richardson immediately joined Salt Lake City deathcore act Chelsea Grin following his departure from the band. In response to the official statement released by the band, he wrote a scathing status update on his personal Facebook page, stating that the other band members frequently abused alcohol and drugs. This post caused a mixed reaction: Jason received backlash from some fans but many sympathized with his situation. Jason also stated in this post that he was involved in the writing process for the next Chelsea Grin album.
A video was posted showing guitarist Lee Mckinney working on a new riff, which is believed to be part of a song which will feature on the next Born of Osiris release. He also had an eight string guitar built for him by the UK based company Invictus Guitars, suggesting another direction that the next release will take.
Lee McKinney has started a side project called Mechanize (originally named Mecha but the name had to be changed for legal reasons), in which he produces original electronic music and remixes other artists. David Darocha has also started his own jewelry line called D A V I. Cameron Losch, Lee McKinney and former guitarist Jason Richardson are all instructors on the music teaching website Bandhappy, which is owned by Matt Halpern, the drummer of Born of Osiris's labelmate Periphery.

Follow The Signs
Born of Osiris Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We are the victims, but we are also the crime
And the only one who can judge us is the Earth in time
I will show you more, a discovery
Beyond what you perceive
As you're tangled in thought
We're well on our way but they lead us astray
Perpetuate with distractions
As far as we've made, only as one we can save humanity
The absence of what you hold dear, it'll leave you stranded
Heartache will stem from fear
Ultimately the choice is up to you (the choice is up to you)
But in the end disbelief can't be denied can not be refused
They tremble in fear in the undercover sanctuary
And the walls disguise despair in the undercover sanctuary
I will show you more, we're uncovering
Let you soul unleash
The absence of what you hold dear, it'll leave you stranded
Heartache will stem from fear
We are the victims, but we are also the crime
And the only one who can judge us is the Earth in time
We are victims and we are the crime
And the only one who can judge us is the Earth
Follow the signs
The opening lyrics of Born of Osiris's "Follow the Signs" suggest that humanity is both the victim and the perpetrator of crimes against the natural world. The song's lyrics explore the idea that humans are responsible for damaging the earth, but that the earth itself will ultimately be the judge of our actions. The chorus encourages listeners to "follow the signs" towards a new understanding of our place in the world.
The second verse suggests that there is a deeper knowledge to be uncovered if we can free ourselves from distractions and open our minds. The band encourages listeners to "believe and let your soul unleash" in order to truly understand the world around us. The bridge of the song emphasizes that we hold the power to save or destroy our world, and that the choice is ultimately up to us.
The final verse includes a reference to an "undercover sanctuary" where individuals may hide from the world's problems. The lyrics suggest that such hiding places are futile, and that we must confront the challenges before us in order to make a positive change.
Overall, "Follow the Signs" urges listeners to take responsibility for our actions towards the earth and to seek a deeper understanding of our place in the world.

Sumerian Records,
I just wanted to express my personal thanks for posting all of your artist's records on YouTube. I primarily use Spotify as my music application, and I was sad to learn that you pulled some of your tunes from the app :( However, since you share streams of full records here, I can decide if I want to purchase the record for myself.
Sharing your streams on YouTube has convinced me to purchase a couple Born of Osiris records, as well as Veil of Maya and the HAARP machine. Artist's and Sumerian Records alike, keep the magic coming!

I couldn't agree more. Avid Spotify user here, and I literally just figured out you have every CD on this channel as a playlist. I wish you would release everything on Spotify, but that's why I am a listener and Ash is a label owner.

This is BY FAR one of the most amazing pieces of composition in the history of music, hearing it today, I still can't believe this was written over 6 years ago. I honestly think this type of magic only happens once in a decade or more, absolutely amazing. The Discovery is something we all should hold dear!
