Overall Meaning

The lyrics are from Boruch Sholom's song "Lo Yemalet" (He Will Not Tire). The song is inspired by a verse from Psalms 33:16-17. The verse talks about how a king cannot rely on his army to save him, no matter how strong they are. The safety of a king comes from God alone, and not from the strength of his army.

The first verse of the song talks about how the king cannot be saved by his large army, and even a strong horse cannot help him in his time of need. The second verse reiterates the same message, that the king's safety does not come from his army. The chorus of the song repeats the same message twice.

The message of the song is clear - in times of trouble, we cannot rely on our own strength or power, but must trust in God alone for our safety and salvation.

Translation of lyrics -
Psalms Chapter 33:
16 A king is not saved by the multitude of a host; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth it afford escape by its great strength.

"Lo Yemalet" = Will not escape
