Toms mixer was no where near the quality of the console at the big name studio where Boylan recorded Brads vocals as well.

Tom did NOT play electric rhythm guitars on Foreplay. Tom did NOT play bass on Foreplay. Tom did NOT play acoustic or electric guitars on Let Me Take You Home. I got to see them, Tom Petty/Heartbreakers, The Cars, Talking Heads, & others, downtown Providence in the towards end of 1970s. There were TWO [2] places across a cobblestone road, Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel and The Living Room. A majority of ppl ended up just "Dancing in the Street" 😆 lol, Seriously! To this day, I still can't believe a recording this ambitious and this perfectly-executed was from a debut album - even when it was a band as talented as Boston. I don't believe there's such a thing as the perfect track but Peace of Mind is a perfect track. One of those precious few tracks that genuinely blew my mind the first time I heard it.

I remember my grandpa used to always listen to Boston when I was little he was a big Boston fan he got me hooked to classic Rock sadly my grandpa recently passed away to Covid 19 so when I play music like Rock I get flashbacks and think of my grandpa I still love Classic Rock till this day I’m 18 years old I blast this type of Music especially Boston when I’m cruising around in my 2019 Mustang GT remembering my good Grandpa I miss him so much and hearing this type of music makes me feel better Rock is Life 😌

The 1 minute solo fade out in this song is a total of 6 guitars, all played by Tom. He also played every other instrument but the drums, wrote the music and lyrics, all in his basement studio.

I used to hear this song so much when I was trying to get into college. Here in Brazil to get accepted into college you gotta pass this huge anual exams that we call "vestibular", and you spend literally all of high school preparing for them. Thing is, the pressure when you're on last grade is horrible. If you fail, you can always try next time, and in a year or two you'll eventually pass. But people still judge you a lot if you don't suceed on your first try. I was freaking out during basically the whole year, and this song is one of the few things that could make me chill a little. It was just so relatable.
