This is a classic song.....I used to listen back in the 90´s when my gilrfried went away. James Taylor is one of the best guitar players in my opinion. I hope that one day you play here in Brazil!

Fire and Rain is one of my favorite songs and they did a beautiful cover of it.

The thing that most impressive me in the Boyce Avenue version is that they don't go farway from original, but even so, they got to be original.

I think the problem with James Taylor covers, is just that no one is James Taylor. He wrote his songs so perfectly. And when someone covers it and tries to make it a little their own, it just isn't the same. While it's still a good cover, it will never be as truly good as the original

Like a bear trap ready to spring, I was sitting ready to crucify this before it began.

But no - once again he earns nothing but props for this performance.  When you can venture into Taylor land (and with this tune, especially) and come out looking this good, it's something to be highly commended.

I don't see anything wrong with this - quite the contrary.  The guitar work and guitar processing are impeccable, the cello is lovely and not intrusive and overdone, and the vocal is sensitive without sounding at all cheesy or melodramatic.  The long lead-in to the final chorus is a great vocal lick here that I love.  Man, that is sweet.

It's hard to get the nuances of this song right unless you're in touch with the kind of psychic (and physical) pain the song writer is talking about. You guys did this. Thank you.

Hate to say but... a reslly decent cover...lovely guitar playing and its clear to see james was a big influence on you and that YOU know the story behind the song.....the best version I've seen was James singing on here at colonial theatre. He means every word and now he's clean he can sing it with clarity. It's sad watching him singing it back and the older he gets the better he gets as a musician it is beautiful if you're new to this song look up fire and rain colonial theatre with James doing it. Ìts beautiful. I suffer a painful form of bipolar disorder so fire and rain is my song but in a different way x
