(Shoo-doop, shooby-doo)
(Shoo-doop, shooby-doo)
(Shoo-doop, shooby, whoa)
In the still of the night
I held you, held you tight
Oh I love, love you so
In the still of the night
(in the still of the night)
I remember (I remember) that night in May (I remember)
When the stars (I remember) were bright up above (I remember)
I hope (I remember) and I pray (I remember)
To keep (shoo-whop) your pre-(shoo-whop)-cious love
So before the light
Hold me again
With all of your might
In the still of the night
(in the still of the night)
So before the light
Hold me again
With all of your might
In the still of the night
(in the still of the night)
In the still of the night

The Boyz II Men version is great, but the Five Satins' version is an immortal classic!
Gaëlle Saint-Louis
They don't make them like this anymore. Their harmonious and melodic voices are on point.

Sad thing is that the talent is there, just that it's wasted on mindless garbage. It's a society thing. It sucks.

So Sad!

@Marty Bacardi so true Marty. In addition, I guarantee that talent probably listens to classics like this and sings in private, but won’t sing it for likes because it’s not popular
Paravecchia Vince
Correct…they are one of the only groups who are capable of covering this well.

I truly love both versions of the song.
This version certainly does offer more in the way of beautiful enthusiasm and romantic power within their voices and is in itself an instant classic. The acapella is impeccable.
The Five Satins version is absolutely haunting and transports you to a different time when life was simple, yet also more challenging for obvious reasons, which goes for practically almost every decade. The original just sounds heavenly, especially with the sax.
Both are legendary.

This is the song for driving home with the girl you love on a warm spring night, windows rolled down, as street lights illuminate each other’s faces. Such a precious moment.

Where do I find a man who thinks like that...like I do??
