Cause I tell a joke or two
Although I might be laughing loud and hearty
Deep inside I'm blue
So take a good look at my face
You know my smile looks out of place
If you look closer it's easy to trace
Oh I need you, need you
Since you left me if you see me with another guy
Looking like I'm having fun
Although he might be cute he's just a substitute
Because you're the permanent one
So take a good look at my face
You know my smile looks out of place
If you look closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears
Outside I'm masquerading
Inside my hope is fading
I'm just a clown since you put me down
My smile is my make-up I wear since my break-up with you
Baby take a good look at my face
You know my smile looks out of place
If you look closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears
Woah baby take a good look at my face
You know my smile looks out of place
If you look closer it's easy to trace
The tracks of my tears
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
The Tracks Of My Tears by Boyz II Men is a cover of the original song by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles. The lyrics delve into the emotional pain that comes with a broken heart. The song presents the façade of a happy-go-lucky person that enjoys making others happy, but the truth is that deep inside, they are struggling with depression and loneliness.
The opening lines of the song establish the perception that others have of the singer. People view them as outgoing, entertaining, and fun-loving. The use of the phrase "life of the party" highlights that people see this person as a beacon of joy and laughter. However, the next lines reveal that this perception is far from reality. The singer's laughter is a facade that hides the sadness within.
The chorus of the song uses figurative language to explain the pathos of the singer. The phrase "tracks of my tears" represent the tears that the character sheds whenever they are alone. The tears leave behind tracks on their face, indicating the long-lasting effects of their sadness. The singer also admits that they need their lover and that anyone else is just a substitute. The song's lyrics highlight the psychological toll that a rejection from a lover could have on someone.

Beautifully done cover for sure. They are one of the best group going without a doubt. Nevertheless there is nobody who can smoke Smokey and the Miraclees.
