Give Me Your Eyes was one of the most successful Christian songs of 2008 and its success continued into 2009. The tune won the Song of the Year and Best Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song at the 2009 Dove Awards. It spent 14 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot Christian AC radio chart, and 27 weeks at the summit of the iTunes Christian Song Chart. Speaking with Songfacts about the song in a 2011 interview Heath said he never foresaw the song's success: "I remember the day that we wrote it, and I had a good feeling about it," he said, "Sometimes when you write, you think, yeah, I can see this working at radio, or I can see this really sticking in people's heads. But the fact that there were sermons written after it, people went on missions trips. And as far as I know, I think it's the first song in the history of my record label to go gold, as far as a single. That's way, way beyond my expectations for that song. But it's been great."
After the release of his most commercially successful song, Heath went on to produce three additional full length studio albums through Provident Label Group. Leaving Eden, released in 2011, hosted "Your Love", and the album and single received three Grammy awards. In October of 2012, Blue Mountain was released and most recently No Turning Back was circulated in 2015.

Sails torn and tattered
How could Jesus be fast asleep
Like it doesn't matter
Soon as He opens His eyes
The storm just dies
It's alright
You just hold tight
I'll be with you the whole way
When you're weak, I'll be strong
Keep going, we're almost home
It's alright
Everything will be okay
Mother Mary's got a broken heart
From the words they're saying
Her baby boy's being torn apart
By the world He's saving
He says, Mother, don't cry for me
You know where I'll be
It's alright
Everything will be okay
You just hold tight
I'll be with you the whole way
When you're weak, I'll be strong
Keep going, we're almost home
It's alright
Everything will be okay
No promise of an easy road
Just a destination
Next time you forget your hope
Somebody's waiting
Soon as you open your eyes
You'll realize
It's alright
Everything will be okay
You just hold tight
I'll be with you the whole way
When you're weak, He'll be strong
Keep going, you're almost home
When you're weak, He is strong
Keep going, you're almost home
It's alright
Everything will be okay
The lyrics of Brandon Heath's song "It's Alright" describe various situations in life where one may feel overwhelmed, lost, or broken. The opening verse narrates an image of a tiny boat in the midst of a raging storm, with torn sails and the occupants feeling helpless while Jesus appears to be sleeping. However, as soon as He wakes up, the storm subsides, providing a sense of reassurance that everything will be okay. This imagery of the storm can be interpreted as the storms of life, and the sense of panic and despair that one may feel when faced with difficulties that seem insurmountable. The chorus of the song reinforces the message of hope, telling listeners everything will be okay, to hold on, and that they will not be alone in the journey.
The second verse describes a scene where Mother Mary watches her son being condemned and tortured, and witnesses His death on the cross. Again, the lyrics provide reassurance that everything will be okay and that she should not cry for Him because He knows where He's going. The lyrics offer comfort that although painful, this too shall pass, and there is a higher purpose and destination in mind. The final verse emphasizes the idea that life is not easy, but the hope that awaits at the end should be enough to keep going. The song encourages listeners to keep moving, keep trying, and keep believing because it's alright, everything will be okay.
