Ooh, yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Is there a problem
That you can't solve? (Whoa)
You're all alone
But I have a friend, oh, you know I do
He'll always be around, be around
And he'll never leave you, yeah
He will never let you down
All he said he wants from you (all he said to do)
All he said you have to do
Give me you (give me you)
(All you have to do is)
All he said he wants from you (all he said to do)
All he said you have to do
Give me you (give me you, oh yeah)
You're always saying
That love is such a heavy burden (love is such a heavy burden)
You need someone in your life
Who will give more lovin' (give more lovin' than hurting, oh yeah)
He'll never forsake you
He will always be around, be around
And he'll never leave you, no, he won't
He will never let you down
All he said he wants from you
All he said you have to do (all he said to do was)
Give me you (all you have to do is)
All he said he wants from you
All he said you have to do
Give me you (give me you)
You can call him in the morning (call him, call him in the morning)
You can call him in the noonday (you can call him)
(In the noonday)
You can call him in the evening (call him, in the evening)
Give me you
You can call him in the morning
(If you have a problem, you know you need someone to talk to)
You can call him in the noonday (call him)
(You can call him in the noonday)
You can call him in the evening (call him in the evening)
Give me you (give me you)
Give me you (sometimes you may have to walk alone)
Give me you
Give
The lyrics of Brandy's song "Give Me You" are about a person who is going through a difficult time and feels alone. The song opens with the lines, "Is there a problem That you can't solve, whoa/You're all alone/And no one wants to get involved". The person in question is struggling with a problem that they cannot solve on their own, and they feel like nobody wants to help them.
However, the song offers a solution. Brandy sings about a friend who is always there for you and will never let you down. The friend in question is not a person, but rather a higher power, possibly God. In the chorus, Brandy sings, "All he said he wants from you/All he said you have to do, give me you". The solution to the person's problem is to give themselves up to this friend and let them guide them through their struggles.
The second verse of the song expands on this theme, with Brandy singing about how love can be a burden and how the person needs someone who will give them more love than hurt. Again, the solution is to turn to the friend who is always there and never leaves you. The song ends with the repeated refrain of "You can call him in the morning/you can call him in the noonday/You can call him in the evening/Give him you".
Overall, "Give Me You" is a hopeful and uplifting song that encourages the listener to turn to a higher power during difficult times. It emphasizes the importance of having someone who will always be there for you and guides you through difficult times.
