Infused with an energy that finds its source in their passion for bringing others closer to Jesus, Bread of Stone (BOS) is an up-and-coming Christian band based out of Sioux City, Iowa with a sound all their own. Originally formed by two brothers Ben (vocals) and Bill Kristijanto (guitar) and later joined by good friends Tim Barnes(bass) and Wesley Holt (drums), they have answered the call to ministry through inspiring music. With a unique blend of rock, pop, and worship, their music takes listeners on a journey through the heights and depths of the human experience.
With the release of their sophomore project, Letting Go, BOS has fine tuned their message and honed in on their God-given talents. Ben, who writes the majority of their music, explains that the overall theme of the album is one of surrender. The title track, Letting Go, talks about his journey into a deeper relationship with Jesus as he realized the only way to have a true friendship with Christ is to humble himself. The album is colored with additional tracks full of captivating melodies and genuine lyrics that speak the truth of life.
Since the release of their original self-produced album, Broken Vessels, BOS has been blessed with many incredible opportunities to expand their musical horizon. A major highlight of their vast touring experience was being a part of the Farewell Tour for the legendary group Petra. Other tour experience includes the LifeLight Tours with Building 429 and Phil Joel, Stellar Kart, and the Drifter Tour with DecembeRadio. In addition to their extensive touring schedule they have had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Toby Mac, Jars of Clay, and Chris Tomlin. BOS grips audiences everywhere with electrifying performances as they expand their boundaries.
Standing behind their belief to freely share the Gospel with everyone, BOS has donated their time and talents to several organizations. The guys put their faith into action by helping rebuild homes for the victims of Hurricane Katrina with the ongoing recovery efforts of the Christ In Action organization Homes of Hope. Teaming up with Imanuel Ministries as well, BOS has ventured to Indonesia producing two full-length Christian albums and have currently distributed over 85,000 free copies throughout the Muslim-populated country.
When asked about the significance of the name "Bread of Stone", they state we are all merely stones that God turns into bread to feed the hungry and that without Him, no one can accomplish good in this downfallen world.
With the grace of God flowing through their ministry, they have had the opportunity to see numerous people come to know the Lord. With an outlook forecasted for certain success, they are determined to glorify Him in everything they do, for this is the true heart of Bread of Stone.
They are Gods messengers, they give you the chance to strengthen your relationship with God and your faith in him. God is always there, he gives you abilities to spread his word that you didn't think you had. These guys use the ability that God has given them to help spread his word and help you with your relationship with God.

I felt the breeze
I thought I was flying
Floating at ease above the horizon
The stars in my eyes don't realize that I'm moving faster
So unaware of this free falling disaster
I used to be afraid
I couldn't find a way from crashing into the ground
You break my fall just like a parachute
Both feet on the ground
my mind is so clear in this atmosphere
I'm gravity bound
Your heart beats away all my fears
Shadows are growing on the ground
Free-fallers loosing altitude
Billowing cloud-like parasols
Make beautiful rescues
I used to be afraid
It was a long way down
I couldn't find a way from crashing into the ground
You break my fall just like a parachute
I'm hanging by a thread
You're breaking my fall
You are my parachute
I'm hanging by a thread to your heart
It was a long way down
You break my fall just like a parachute
Your arms above me start to catch me now
You're breaking my fall
You are my parachute
...
You break my fall just like a parachute
I'm hanging by a thread
You're breaking my fall
You are my parachute
...
The song "Parachute" by Bread of Stone tells a story of falling, but not in the sense of falling from a high place, rather it's about falling in love. The lyrics depict a person floating in the sky, possibly in love at first sight, feeling like they are flying, and being unaware of the free falling disaster coming their way until they realize that they are in danger. However, right at the moment when they were about to hit the ground, someone caught them and became their parachute. The parachute here is likely a metaphor for the person who caught them and helped them through their struggles.
The lyrics also touch on the idea that someone can help another person overcome their fears and anxieties, and make them feel like they have both feet on the ground. Shadows growing on the ground and free-fallers losing altitude are likely symbols of people who didn't have anyone to help them through their struggles. The chorus repeats the idea that the person who caught them is their parachute, and they are hanging on by a thread to their heart.
Overall, "Parachute" by Bread of Stone is a song about the power of love and how it can help someone overcome their fears and struggles.
