Breaking Point Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
There's no peace, there's no hope
When it's trapped up inside you
Well come this way
Come this way now
Your position is weakening
Your position is gone
Well, it doesn't even matter what you're thinking
When, it's trapped up inside you
There's no peace, there's no hope
When it's trapped up inside you
Well, come this way
Come this way now
Your opinions are changing
Your opinion's not sound , no
It doesn't even matter what the truth is
All that matter is now
When, it's trapped up inside you
There's no peace, there's no hope
When it's trapped up inside you
Well, come this way
Come this way, now
You're selling yourself
You're cold
You're selling yourself
At 27 years old
Well, it's trapped up inside you
There's no peace, there's no hope
When it's trapped up inside you
There's no peace, there's no hope
Well, come this way
Come this way now
You're selling yourself
You're cold
You're selling yourself at 27
In "27," Breaking Point sings about the feeling of being trapped and having no hope. The lyrics repeat the phrase "when it's trapped up inside you, there's no peace, there's no hope," emphasizing the idea that being unable to express oneself and one's true feelings can lead to internal turmoil. The singer urges the listener to come towards a different direction, hinting at seeking help and support. The verses also comment on the decline of one's position and changing opinions, possibly alluding to a personal and professional struggle. The chorus punctuates the internal pressure and despair by adding that the person is "selling themselves at 27 years old." This line implies that the feeling of being trapped and helpless can also harm one's identity and sense of self-worth.
