1/ According to Songfacts, Breathe hailed from Hampshire, England, where the original five members all grew up and even went to school together at Yateley School. Their first group was larger, six-person band called Catch-22, after the famed novel by Joseph Heller. Theyrimmed down to a quartet to record the album All That Jazz in 1987. This contained their two best-known hits, "How Can I Fall?" and "Hands to Heaven". The latter charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #2 in 1988, and at #4 in the UK. Bassist Micheal Delahunty left the group in 1989 and the remaining three followed "All that Jazz" with the lesser known "Peace of Mind" in early 1990.
Their sound was a combination of light jazz with some pop and soul, somewhat reminiscent of Air Supply or Rick Astley. However, the success was shortlived, and by 1990 they had disbanded.
4 - breathe -- Ridgeback Recordings Dallas, TX U.S.A.
breathe is Doug DuVall and Noel "NTRAIN" Keith. They are a forward thinking eletronic music production/DJ team who shares the common interest in producing, playing, and listening to quality music that must have a groove, soul, and depth. They won't pigeon hole themselves in one genre or style of music and have produced some of the following styles but not limited to: house, deep house, funky house, progressive house, breaks, hip-hop, abstract, experimental, and downtempo. Their ability to blend multiple styles of music into one track gives them a definite production edge on the listener. All This I Should Have Known
Breathe Lyrics

To reach this goal
To reach your soul
If only we'd been a little closer
If only we'd pulled together
I'll try to leave behind
This sense of wasted time
If only I'd let go of my pride
Cast my doubts and fears aside
All this I should have known
All this I should have known
Hold me one more time
Hold me while we dance together
Hold me now our love has gone
We tried to talk to no avail
We knew inside that this had failed
With you, I could never say what lay within my heart
With you, there was always something keeping us apart
With you, I was never really sure-
Hold me one more time
Hold me while we dance together
Hold me now our love has gone
We tried to talk to no avail
We knew inside that this had failed
All this I should have known
All this I should have known
The song "All This I Should Have Known" by Breathe tells the story of a failed relationship that could have been different if the couple had just put in a little more effort. The first two lines of the song reveal the longing for missed opportunities, wishing they had tried harder to reach their soulmate. The lyrics "So much promise we denied, If only I'd let go of my pride, Cast my doubts and fears aside" express the regret and pain of missing out on a potentially great relationship, all because of not putting in enough effort.
The chorus of the song, "All this I should have known," expresses the regret and hindsight the singer feels once they've lost the love of their life. Even though they knew there were problems, the inability to communicate and work together led to the collapse of the relationship. The lyrics "We tried to talk to no avail, We knew inside that this had failed" highlight how, despite their efforts to save their relationship, it was doomed from the start.
The second verse of the song reveals that the singer never felt comfortable or secure in the relationship, indicated by the lyrics "With you, there was always something keeping us apart." They could never express what lay in their heart, leading to a breakdown in communication and a disconnect with their significant other. In the end, the song ends with the singer holding on to what they had and wishing for one last chance to dance together.
