2 - a New Zealand-based group from the late '90s.
3 - a Germany-based underground band, formed from members of old-school dark-electro band Placebo Effect and now reborn as The Laughing Dolls.
4 - a Dallas, Texas & Edmond, Oklahoma based electronic music group formed in the late '90s still producing and performing to this day.
1/ According to Songfacts, Breathe hailed from Hampshire, England, where the original five members all grew up and even went to school together at Yateley School. Their first group was larger, six-person band called Catch-22, after the famed novel by Joseph Heller. Theyrimmed down to a quartet to record the album All That Jazz in 1987. This contained their two best-known hits, "How Can I Fall?" and "Hands to Heaven". The latter charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #2 in 1988, and at #4 in the UK. Bassist Micheal Delahunty left the group in 1989 and the remaining three followed "All that Jazz" with the lesser known "Peace of Mind" in early 1990.
Their sound was a combination of light jazz with some pop and soul, somewhat reminiscent of Air Supply or Rick Astley. However, the success was shortlived, and by 1990 they had disbanded.
4 - breathe -- Ridgeback Recordings Dallas, TX U.S.A.
breathe is Doug DuVall and Noel "NTRAIN" Keith. They are a forward thinking eletronic music production/DJ team who shares the common interest in producing, playing, and listening to quality music that must have a groove, soul, and depth. They won't pigeon hole themselves in one genre or style of music and have produced some of the following styles but not limited to: house, deep house, funky house, progressive house, breaks, hip-hop, abstract, experimental, and downtempo. Their ability to blend multiple styles of music into one track gives them a definite production edge on the listener. Give them a listen and let them know what you think---good or bad as their music is not for all listeners but production work is always solid. Peace ~ Soul ~ Spirit---breathe

Are you alright?
I'm in your neighborhood
For your darkest times
Are you all good?
Are you alright?
I'm in your neighborhood
Are you all good?
Are you alright?
I'm in your neighborhood
For your darkest times
Are you all good?
Are you alright?
I'm in your neighborhood
For your darkest times
Are you all good?
Tell me how you're feeling
Are you alright?
Now we're all alone
I'm in your neighborhood
I wanna whisper you something
For your darkest times
That you already know
Are you all good?
Tell me how you're feeling
Are you alright?
Now we're all alone
I'm in your neighborhood
I wanna whisper you something
For your darkest times
That you already know
When all you want
Is to disappear
Searching for wisdom
But nothing's clear
What will become of me
If you're not here?
I know life is a mental place
Where there's always fear
Are you all good?
Tell me how you're feeling
Now we're all alone
I wanna whisper you something
That you already know
Are you all good?
Tell me how you're feeling
Now we're all alone
I wanna whisper you something
That you already know
Are you all good?
Tell me how you're feeling
Are you alright?
Now we're all alone
I'm in your neighborhood
I wanna whisper you something
For your darkest times
That you already know
Are you all good?
Tell me how you're feeling
Are you alright?
Now we're all alone
I'm in your neighborhood
I wanna whisper you something
For your darkest times
That you already know
Are you all good?
Are you all good?
The lyrics to Breathe's song "Are You All Good?" convey a sense of concern and support for someone going through difficult times. The repetition of the question "Are you all good? Are you alright?" suggests a genuine desire to understand the other person's emotional state and offer help. The line "I'm in your neighborhood for your darkest times" further emphasizes this commitment to being there for them when they need it most.
The lyrics continue to express a willingness to listen and provide comfort. The line "I wanna whisper you something for your darkest times that you already know" implies that the singer wants to offer reassurance or a reminder of something important that the other person is already aware of, perhaps a message of hope or encouragement.
There is a sense of vulnerability in the lines "When all you want is to disappear, searching for wisdom but nothing's clear." The singer acknowledges the struggles of the other person, acknowledging that life can be a challenging and uncertain place. The repeated plea to tell them how they're feeling and the emphasis on being alone together suggests an intimate and safe space for expressing emotions without judgment.

This hits different for me. A year ago, Christmas night, I got a call from my best friend Boone. He was sobbing
not crying, S o b b i n g.
He rambled for a bit and I just told him I was picking him up. I drove out, keeping him on speaker phone the whole time and picked him up just off the onramp to a major bridge in our city. His face was red from crying, but I didn't mention it.
He had tried to kill himself that night, told me he stood on the outside of the guardrail for 20 minutes before climbing back over to call me, saying he originally called me to say goodbye.
We drove for hours, just circling our city and talking, I tried not to bring it up but it eventually boiled down to real-talk, him questioning his life. I convinced him to get help, told him I loved him and that he IS of value to everyone he interacts with.
Please, if you think one of your friends, loved ones, or even someone you know of is struggling, reach out to them.
Edit: Boone is now living happily with his Girlfriend of 6 months, and calls me every day to chat.
