Their first group was larger, six-person band called Catch-22, after the famed novel by Joseph Heller. Theyrimmed down to a quartet to record the album All That Jazz in 1987. This contained their two best-known hits, "How Can I Fall?" and "Hands to Heaven". The latter charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #2 in 1988, and at #4 in the UK. Bassist Micheal Delahunty left the group in 1989 and the remaining three followed "All that Jazz" with the lesser known "Peace of Mind" in early 1990.
Their sound was a combination of light jazz with some pop and soul, somewhat reminiscent of Air Supply or Rick Astley. However, the success was shortlived, and by 1990 they had disbanded.

breathe is Doug DuVall and Noel "NTRAIN" Keith. They are a forward thinking eletronic music production/DJ team who shares the common interest in producing, playing, and listening to quality music that must have a groove, soul, and depth. They won't pigeon hole themselves in one genre or style of music and have produced some of the following styles but not limited to: house, deep house, funky house, progressive house, breaks, hip-hop, abstract, experimental, and downtempo. Say A Prayer
Breathe Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Sweet sugar, you say it's just a game, soon to be your one desire.
When the devil holds your hand, then you know he's in command of temptation.
Like the beauty of a rose, or a summer that will go, where's salvation.
[Chorus:]
Say a little prayer,
Say a little prayer for me.
Say a little prayer for me.
Sweet sugar, your world just tumbles down, how you hunger for illusion.
Sweet sugar, will take more than you own, all you have is your confusion.
You'll be standing in the rain, you'll be crying out in shame, for mercy.
So you turn to every man, say you need a helping hand, don't desert me.
[Chorus]
I don't know what I've done with my life.
I don't want to think of all this wasted time.
I was in search of paradise,
Yet this seems a heavy price to pay
[Chorus]
Won't you say a prayer...
The lyrics of Breathe's "Say A Prayer" explore the themes of temptation, desperation, and the need for redemption. The first verse paints a picture of a person who is addicted to something, and the addiction is the sweet sugar pumping through their veins. They are lost and disconnected from reality, living dangerously on a wire. The addiction is affecting them in every way possible, and they know they're playing a dangerous game, but they're unable to resist, and they're more than willing to surrender to it.
The second verse is where we see the consequences of giving in to temptation. The sugar is no longer sweet, and it tumbles the world down, leaving behind only confusion and illusions. The person is left with nothing but shame and despair, crying out for mercy and in need of help. The chorus comes in as a plea for help, asking the listener to say a little prayer for them.
The third verse is a moment of introspection and regret, with the person reflecting on their life's choices and feeling like they've wasted time. They had been searching for paradise, but now they see the price they had to pay for their actions.
Overall, "Say A Prayer" is a powerful song that touches on themes that most people can relate to. It speaks of the dangers of addiction and the need for redemption and salvation.
