Two Horizons
Brennan Moya Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hard to believe when the heart is so broken
Storms in the valley hide words never spoken
I hear the sounds two horizons sing
The harp that once through Tara

Silver moon stands when the morning is rising
Chasing the wind to the crystal horizon
Hard to believe when the signs are uncertain
Courage be born then our world will stop hurting

I hear the sounds two horizons sing
Two horizons burn the harp that once through Tara

Overall Meaning

The song "Two Horizons" by Brennan Moya speaks to a broken heart and the struggles that come along with it. The first verse speaks to the difficulty in believing in anything when your heart is completely shattered. The storms in the valley are a metaphor for the emotions and pain that are hidden and never spoken. However, in the midst of this pain, the singer can hear two horizons singing. The use of personification here gives a sense of hope and a belief that there is more than just the hurt.

The second verse speaks to the transitions and changes that come with healing. The silver moon that stands for the morning represents a new beginning and a chance to start anew. The singer is chasing this wind to the crystal horizon, trying to reach a point where they can see clearly and find the courage to continue on. The signs are uncertain, but the singer knows that with courage, our world will stop hurting.

The chorus brings the two horizons back in focus, and the harp that once through Tara is burned. This could symbolize a new beginning and the burning of things that no longer serve us. Through pain, transition, and hardship, the singer holds onto the sounds of the two horizons singing. This gives them the strength to move forward and find healing.

i actually met her at a wedding when she was in the middle of making this album. when she was telling me about it, she was so cute in how excited she was, although i thought she was nuts, to be perfectly honest. i am so glad that i was so wrong! by the way, she really is one of the sweetest people you'd ever meet! a very genuine, funny, humble, wonderful woman.
