I must agree with Ira when he speaks of Aron being too good for this world.
Each of us had or has very specific things to learn and even conquer in this life.
Once we've done that it becomes graduation day and we move on to our next step in our evolution, of becoming better individuals.
Personal progress is what existence is all about.

DS9 remains my favorite of all the different "Treks". It's funny but, when it first came out I had concerns that without a starship the writers would struggle to find good and interesting plots to keep our interest.
I was wrong and was pleasantly surprised by just how great the storylines actually were.

When the episode called "Babel" aired I was deep into an attack of a rare disease called Porphyria that I have. Almost unbelievably the symptoms of this attack very closely mirrored those of the crew in that episode. At that moment I became fully linked to DS9.

It's an amazing show dealing with many facets of life.

First off, it's a show that starts out as a blackman trying to raise his son as a single father. The writing between Jake and Ben is great throughout the series. There's moments when Jake needs fathering, but there's also times when Ben makes mistakes and his son is giving him help and advice.

Parents are far from perfect and this show shows that dynamic very well in how they learn from each other and overall love each other.

This is such a great role model, not only for black men, but for all men and people who go through difficult times.

The series also touches on many themes, like the mixing of different races, also difficult (for some people,) homosexuality.

The series is full of humor, fun, serious and amazing moments. It was an amazing cast. I love how diversified it was, way before it was in fashion.

I was alright... until Armin spoke. He probably shared the most screen time with Rene and Aron, so it's fitting he got the last word. For an actor, I can imagine no finer tribute than a quote from The Bard. Godspeed to them both.

@Micah White I agree. Who can forget their wonderful vacation trip to lovely Roswell, New Mexico where they met the "Cool Cat" who years before sang of the joyous search for paradise. He was even overheard saying "Hey Spock, do you play" and "Yeah man we meet" when he first met Spock? Who can forget the time when he regaled us with his hip tunes like "We're gonna go to Eden, yeah brother."

It is said that the friendship between odo and quark was a reflection of their chemistry as friends off screen. That must have been rough for Armin.

The Complaining Channel

“The last word” was actually a reference he made to the script between quark & odo in the final scene where each wants the last word.

Big, big props to Star Trek: Discovery for quietly adding the Eisenberg-class USS Nog to the Starfleet of the 32nd century. The idea that Nog was remembered so long after his death makes me smile.
