I always knew
In Brian Glaze's song Daylight, the singer appears to be addressing his or her own child, and expressing pride in this child's accomplishments. The chorus suggests that Daylight is a "new sensation" that has "swept the nation," and that the singer has always known that Daylight would succeed.
