Twist and Shout
Brian Poole Lyrics

Well, shake it up, baby, now
(Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout
(Twist and shout)
C'mon c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now
(Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out
(Work it on out)

Well, work it on out, honey
(Work it on out)
Well, you look so good
(Look so good)
Well, you got me goin', now
(Got me goin')
Just like I knew that you would
(Like I knew you would)

Well, shake it up, baby, now
(Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout
(Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now
(Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out
(Work it on out)

Well, twist, little girl
(Twist, little girl)
Yeah, you twist so fine
(Twist so fine)
Come on and twist a little closer, now
(Twist a little closer)
So that I know that you're mine
(Know you're mine)

Aaah-aaah-aaah-aaah-aaah!

Well, shake it up, baby, now
(Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout
(Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now
(Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out
(Work it on out)

Well, you twist, little girl
(Twist, little girl)
Yeah, you twist so fine
(Twist so fine)
Come on and twist a little closer, now
(Twist a little closer)
So that I know that you're mine
(Know you're mine)

Well, shake it, shake it, shake it, baby, now
(Shake it up baby)
Well, shake it, shake it, shake it, baby, now
(Shake it up baby)
Well, shake it, shake it, shake it, baby, now
(Shake it up baby)

This band stayed at my mum's bed and breakfast in the 60's, they were playing at the town hall in Clacton on sea!

Brian Poole and the Tremeloes first charted in the UK in July 1963 with a version of "Twist and Shout", a song previously popularised in America by the Isley Brothers, and already released by the Beatles in the UK in March 1963 on their first British LP, Please Please Me.

Sorry - that's not the original, it's a re-recording! The version of summer '63 have much more power!! And we wait for a stereo version of the '63 version!!

joe gongora

It sounds like the Bamba like it has a bit of the Latin Sounds.
