Bridget Blucher Lyrics

take away silver and gold there are mansions, in the home of the soul, but i got something and you just can't take it away.
i got Jesus and you just can't take him away.
yeaa i've got Jesus and you just can't take him away from mee
so take all that i own take my life and call it your own but i got Jesus and you just can't take him away.
there is joy deep in my soul thou the fellow
This song by Bridget Blucher is a powerful expression of faith that emphasizes the unshakable nature of a believer's relationship with Jesus Christ. The lyrics describe the loss of material possessions and earthly blessings, but nonetheless assert that the true source of joy and fulfillment is found in Jesus and cannot be taken away. The opening lines set the stage for this message, as the singer declares that even if everything she owns - houses, land, love - were to be taken away, she would still hold tightly to her faith in Christ. She goes on to contrast the fleeting value of silver and gold with the eternal value of a home in heaven, ultimately declaring that while everything else may be taken away, her relationship with Jesus is a constant source of strength and hope. The repeated refrain of "I've got Jesus and you just can't take him away" reinforces this powerful message of faith.
