Do You Miss Me At All
Bridgit Mendler Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I see colors, the blacks and the blues
Here comes another night
Without you
Looking over the trees and the roofs
And I don't know what I would find
I don't know if you're even in the city
Don't know who you're spending all your time with
But do you miss me at all?
Do you wonder what I'm up to
Without you?
Do you miss me at all?
Do you wanna leave a message on my phone
Saying "I'm coming home"?
In this room
You are the wallpaper that sticks like glue
Into my memory
So do you
Think me over
Once in a blue moon
'Cause you always rise to me
I don't know if you're even in the city
Don't know if you're even at home
Don't know who you're spending all your time with
But do you miss me at all?
Do you wonder what I'm up to
Without you?
Do you miss me at all?
Do you wanna leave a message on my phone
Saying "I'm coming home"?
Gone without a trace
You been so MIA
Was passing through your neighborhood
Boy, you've been abrupt
I never get enough to
Know that you still think of me too
And I don't know if you're even in the city
Don't know if you're even at home
Don't know who you're spending all your time with
But do you miss me at all?
Do you wonder what I'm up to
Without you?
Do you miss me at all?
Do you wanna leave a message on my phone
Saying "I'm coming home"?
Yeah
Do you wonder what I'm up to
Without you?
Do you miss me at all?
Do you wanna leave a message on my phone
Saying "I'm coming home"?
Yeah
Do you wonder what I'm up to
Without you?
Do you miss me at all?
Do you wanna leave a message on my phone
Saying "I'm coming home"?
In "Do You Miss Me At All" by Bridgit Mendler, the singer is separated from someone who they used to be close with, and they're experiencing a range of emotions as a result. The song appears to be directed at a romantic partner who has gone off the grid, leaving the singer feeling unsure about their whereabouts and who they might be spending time with. Meanwhile, the singer is left wondering about the other person and their feelings. They're essentially asking: "are you thinking of me the way I'm thinking of you?" The chorus of the song reiterates this sentiment by asking if the other person misses them, as well as whether or not they're curious about what the singer is doing without them.
The verses themselves offer glimpses of the singer's current mindset. In the first verse, for instance, they're watching the night sky, contemplating various elements of their environment while searching for answers. They see "colors, the blacks, and the blues," which could be taken as a metaphor for the singer's conflicting emotions. They're surrounded by darkness and uncertainty, but there are still flecks of light and potential hope. Similarly, the second verse reinforces the singer's obsession with the other person, describing them as "wallpaper that sticks like glue / Into my memory." Even though the other person has seemingly vanished, they still hold a powerful grip on the singer's mind.
Overall, "Do You Miss Me At All" is a tender and emotionally resonant song that speaks to the universal experience of longing and yearning for someone we've lost. With its strong vocals and poignant lyrics, it captures the heartache of missing someone and hoping they feel the same.

Nahh I actually love how she flew under the radar. She didn’t get caught up in the disney hullabaloo that selena, miley, demi etc. experienced. Dr. Mendler-Badu is a woman of many talents and I love that about her. She’s lived so many lives.
@Business-Antics
hullabaloo? xd
@Menehune3461
Dr. Mendler -Badu 😂😂😂 this made my day!
@tam2b_
I mean, she was still fairly big as a Disney star being on multiple successful shows and Lemonade Mouth. But yeah not really like those three still. I love the new directions she's been taking with her life and I hope her studies go successfully!!
@rowni
@@tam2b_Yeah she was a big star but I meant she didnt go through any public scrutiny like the others. Pretty clean slate kinda like Hilary Duff haha

If you had told me a beautiful, black, woman of jazz sang this, I would have 100% believed you. This song is gorgeous and a complete surprise
